My inspiration comes from a deep connection to the natural world, an endless curiosity for life, and exploration of what it means to be human.

Still trying to figure out if that was a wedding… or a private jungle rave with all of my best friends coming together to celebrate the love of @joshhamilton and @alyssademarco.

Either way, watching their love up close has been one of the most beautiful gifts of my life.

To witness what’s possible when two humans commit to creating a life together is something I hope we all get to experience.

J&A:Ā the depth of how you two show up in the world is so evident with how everyone else shows up around you - and your wedding was a testament to the hat. I’m grateful to call you two some of my closest friends and glad you’re stuck with me for life. Love you both SO much.

Africa is reshaping my understanding of what it means to be alive. Immersing myself in some of the last remaining raw, untamed nature has illuminated a balance and unity I hadn’t previously grasped spending most of my time out of the wild.

The tension and harmony of it all has revealed a rhythm of existence that feels deeply profound, and yet so utterly obvious now.

The sense that every element, from the smallest insect to the largest predator, plays an intentional and interconnected role in something so much bigger than the sum of its parts.

There is a unity that flows through everything, balancing one part with another in a way that feels healthy.

One of the most powerful shifts has come from observing everything in its natural state. Seeing the intelligence and awareness out here has made it impossible to think of it all as anything but deeply alive, aware, and conscious.

There’s a presence and wisdom in it all, a grace in the continuous renewal, and a sense of purpose in every interaction that reflects something essential about life itself.

As much as Im here to ā€œexperience natureā€, it is slowly peeling back the layers of my own unconscious assumptions about life on earth, the cultural narratives I grew up with, and my (now limited) understanding and views about my own existence.

In its raw beauty, Africa is offering a mirror—revealing both the fragility and resilience of life, and leaving me with a profound respect for the interconnectedness of all things.

Wrote this for myself while I was in my own depth of hell. Looking back, it was this sentiment that got me through. Keep moving forward. Keep turning those wounds into wisdom šŸ–¤āœŒļøI’m proud of you.

Maybe it’s not that the magic has disappeared. Maybe it’s that we’ve spent so long looking elsewhere that we’ve forgotten how to see it.

We slip into our routines, and little by little, we stop noticing the wonder around us.

Over time, we fall into a pattern that convinces us the world is only what’s right in front of us—practical, predictable, neatly defined. And slowly, without even realizing it, we forget that there could be more.

It’s a quiet, collective forgetting. A haze that forms over time, settling over us until we think it’s all there is. We start going through the motions, finding comfort in the idea that ā€œthis is just the way things are,ā€ that life is only what we can see and touch.

But every now and then, something stirs—a memory, a feeling, a glimpse of something larger—and I remember that the magic never left. I’d just stopped looking.

I’m sharing this because maybe, just maybe, it’s enough to remind us that the magic is still out there. It’s real, and it’s waiting for us to notice it again. That the world is richer than we give it credit for. That if we lift the haze and look a little closer, we’ll find the beauty, the wonder, the magic—it’s all still there, patiently waiting to be seen.

Some places make me feel more alive than others. I try to pay attention to that - what spaces I am in when time magically just seems to fade away.

It helps me understand and realize that I am so much more than an isolated individual in this world, but instead a being that is in constant communication with everything around him.

And while the messages from the environment are subtle, the understandings can be profound. They will teach us more about ourselves than our thinking minds could ever understand.

The spaces found on this trip down to Crater Lake and the Oregon Coast with @nadiaanna are always those kinds of spaces for me. Grateful to get to go back and experience them year after year.

Slowly going through the process of compiling a (somewhat disorganized) list of principles that have consistently brought me peace. Principles that have been timeless in bringing me back home to myself.

I hope some of them resonate and feel free to share your favorite with someone you love.

Background shot by my homie @gwenno on a little sunrise summit earlier this year. Grateful as hell for you man. Through the wringer and back.

Over the last few years, I’ve realized how easy it is to avoid uncomfortable feelings, thinking they’ll just go away. But they never do. They linger beneath the surface, shaping how we react, how we relate to others, even how we feel in our own skin.

I’ve also learned that these emotions aren’t enemies—they’re messengers asking for attention. That when we push them away, they simply show up in unexpected ways.

It’s only when we face them that we can let go of the burdens we’ve been carrying. True freedom comes from sitting with those feelings and letting them teach us what they need to teach us.

One of the most interesting paradoxes in life is that the harder we push for change, the more stuck we often feel, while acceptance of our current situation often leads to the transformation we are looking for.

When we try to force change, we create resistance and tension, focusing on what we lack and becoming rigid in our efforts.

In contrast, acceptance of what is often dissolves resistance and aligns us with life’s more natural flow.

This shift fosters a space that enables change to occur organically and in that flow, we often get to where we wanted to be in the first place.

In a strange way, it is through the full acceptance of what is, mixed with the willingness to keep showing up, that we create the necessary fertile ground for the genuine change we are looking for.

A proper s**t post. Lemme explain - what you got here is:
šŸ“ø 10 photos, painting a weird description of life lately. Paired with…
šŸ“ a note on my phone from the same time.

Well, shoot.

But you know - shooters shoot.

And if the ball is in my hands then we got a shot.

And any hoopers knows that you shoot your way out of a slump.

The thing about the people on our team is - we always shoot the gap.

Life’s a movie, all my boys shooters, take the flick we shoot the shot.

Kill or be killed, I’m shooting at a new capacity, shoot or get shot.

I was rolling well but by my wheels kinda shot, now this lost boy energy is really all I got.

Moms told me buckle up cause it’s gonna be a lot. I heard it but I ain’t hear it because she just told ā€œboy you soā€¦ā€
