7 years ago in september of 2019, I had this insane idea where I wanted to use Animation with live action to tell the story of a boy who'd just not give up.

7 years later, that film is still running (pun intended :p).

Mumbai Premiere of 'The Storm, The Calm, The Madness, The Magic" at @16mmfilmfestival hosted by @harkat.studios where Karan, Mika and their entire team have truly managed to host a space that breathes film.

I'm in awe of this team and so happy I could share a little moment like this with them. Nihar, Pritt, Leslie, Adith have brought so much heart and technical expertise, and they took a little film to gigantic stages globally. What a proud moment!! Love you guys and the entire gang - Aditi, Ashish Yash, Kaisha, Darshan, Bombay Noor, Stitch Audio.

What a lovely night with you all!! ♥️

🎞️ From waking up before sunrise to catch first day first shows at 6 AM @ IMAX Wadala to seeing my own name on the official IMAX website, sometimes life really does write better scripts than we ever could..

A tiny 8mm film. One cartridge. No retakes.
The first Indian film ever chosen in the Top 8 of Straight 8. Screened at Cannes. Screened at BFI IMAX, London. And now, finally coming home..

Seeing this story live on the IMAX website feels absolutely surreal!

A reminder that stubborn dreams, backed by obsession, really do come full circle.

Speaking of theatre premieres, your girl's voice reached the @festivaldecannes and @britishfilminstitute IMAX last month, with @straight_8_ . Late post but yeah, still trying to digest.🫠
