El proyecto consiste en el modelado y renderizado de habitaciones a partir de conceptos y referencias, prestando especial atención a la composición, la iluminación, los materiales y las texturas.

SPEED SKETCHING IS BACK at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center! I’m so thrilled to host this event once again in the beautiful exhibit space of the Carnegie, which will be the perfect backdrop to our night of drawing :)

•WHAT TO EXPECT•

Open to all ages and skill levels, you are invited to unleash your creativity and meet likeminded individuals! Grab a coffee (or some tea) and find a seat. We will begin with some demonstrations and introductory exercises. After the warm up, participants will take turns drawing each other in time frames ranging from 5 minutes to 30 seconds. We will be switching partners and mingling a LOT! By the end of the session you will have drawn many different faces!

•MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED• :)

We will work with sheets of tan paper, soft willow charcoal, and permanent marker. Feel free to bring any other supplies for yourself!

Tickets are $15, and spots are limited! To reserve your seat scan the QR on this flyer.
FREE refreshments such as tea and coffee will be provided.

My goal is to encourage community interaction via quick live drawings (and to also squash your perfectionism!)
Everybody is welcome and I can’t wait to see you there!

WHEN: March 26, 2025. 6pm-8pm

WHERE: 207 Church St NE, Decatur, AL 35601. Carnegie Visual Arts Center.

"I cannot fathom what the people realising now - in this America - that they are queer feel like, but I feel the urge to hide.

I feel like a time is coming when it might be the only safe option, like we're getting closer to a dire situation. I think a lot of younger folks from marginalised communities have wondered:

If it were us back then, when it was worse, what would we do?

Would we be loud? Would we fight back? Would we hide? Would we flee?

(Who would make it?)"

- Abigail McArthur-Self 💌
