Being courtside at the League One Volleyball (LOVB) finals in Long Beach wasn’t just about witnessing an incredible event—it was about witnessing a monumental moment.

For over 30 years, volleyball has been my life. I started playing at seven, dedicated my youth to club volleyball, played in college, represented my country at three Olympics, and spent eight years playing professionally overseas in Italy and Turkey. But sitting in that sold-out arena, I wasn’t just a league investor or a team owner. I was a fan, reliving the moments that made me fall in love with this game in the first place.

What struck me most was who showed up. Not just volleyball people, but entertainers, professional athletes from other sports, tech leaders, and incredible business minds—all buying into this moment, this sport, this future. That’s when I realized this isn’t just an event. It’s a movement.

My journey in volleyball has always been about one thing: showing young women that they can achieve anything they believe in. I was that young player who made it professionally, who represented my country at the Olympics. Now, as an owner, I want to continue that mission. I want young athletes to see me as a @lovb investor and owner of @lovbsf and know that this path is possible for them too. I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead for this league and for the next generation of players.

My sister Dawn came to visit last month, and we started a new tradition—celebrating everyone’s birthday whenever we’re together. 🎉

The time was short, but the memories were everything. Love and laughter are good for the soul.
