It’s over! So sad! What a genuinely wonderful experience that was… Only Murders in London.

One ambitious studio build turned into (lots) of large ambitious studio builds and piles of locations all over London. The showrunner called it “the company”, like it’s a touring theatre production… and the sheer volume of actors who became part of it tells you all you need to know. Fantastic!

Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Olivia Colman, David Tennant, Martin Freeman, Tina Fey, Jim Broadbent, Richard E Grant… and there’s LOADS more!

Great fun. Great job.

Only Murders In The Building is making a trip across the pond for its upcoming episodes, but we’re revisiting the production design triumphs of last season. We spoke to production designer Patrick Howe (@designhowe) – nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy Award for the fourth time for his work on the series – about shooting inside the famed Godfather house, designing the Arconia’s hidden underground casino, and what to expect from the upcoming sixth season, which trades the Upper West Side for London.

FYC Only Murders in the Building S5 is nominated for a Production Design Emmy and voting closes this Wednesday. Working with this amazing team building a secret basement casino with flashbacks over 100 years was a blast. I'm so grateful I got to be a part of something so much fun with so many wonderful people. Now if the gang could just hurry back from their season 6 in London, Mabel's new apartment is way too cute for her to not live in it!

Given that our office is on the Upper West Side we love the show Only Murders in the Building for a variety of reasons - one of the biggest one being the sets! We know the building well and love the Interior Design aspect of the show!
