Love is in the air. 💕

Valentine’s has always been one of my favorite times of year. Conspiracies about card companies aside… I love love. I love celebrating it in every form — romantic, platonic, self-love, community love.

And I love this country.

One of the most beautiful things about America is its diversity. As the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants, I’ve seen firsthand the sacrifice, resilience, and belief in the American dream. That story is not rare — it is America.

That’s why it’s painful to watch families in our communities live in fear of raids, detentions, and aggressive immigration enforcement tactics that don’t reflect the compassion or humanity I believe this country is capable of. I don’t believe people should be hunted, humiliated, or treated as disposable because of where they were born.

We can believe in law and order and still believe in dignity. We can love our country and still demand better from it.

I’m proud to be Hispanic. I’m proud of our culture, our contribution, our resilience. And I’m committed to creating a space where everyone — regardless of background, accent, or immigration story — feels safe, respected, and welcome in my chair.

You don’t have to be in love for Valentine’s Day.
And you don’t have to be an immigrant to understand that compassion is strength.

My space will always stand for love. 🖤
