Here are a few impressions from this year’s Zagreb Design Week!

I’m very grateful to have been selected as a finalist with 4 (!!!) of my projects and for the opportunity to showcase my work alongside so many other creative minds.

The exhibition offered just a glimpse of each project, so I’m looking forward to sharing full projects with you SOON on my (NEW!😉) website. Stay tuned! 🤍

Having a nice mug to provide hot drinks on my hikes or during breaks when I'm out climbing is certainly great! @slovenian.heritage provides excellent mugs for such endeavours!

If you've been following my feed you already know that I've been attending a b&w film photography class for the past weeks.

I finally managed to resolve one key problem I have with digital photography and that is the relationship with the shutter button. I have always been leaning towards the 'every shot should matter' mindset, because I feel like photography shouldn't be about spray and pray for the lucky shot, but precise and intentional composing and use of available light.

I feel like shooting film definitely males you stop and think twice about the result you're going for and what you want to achieve with the given subject and lighting conditions.

Anyway, the result of the workshops were a body of work from the b&w class and a body of work from the cyanotype class which resulted in our mentors @gregor_salobir and @emasirec having to put up an exhibition. It is open till the end of this year, so make sure to visit if you get the chance!

Thanks again to Gregor and Ema for their great mentorship and to @mkcmaribor to make it happen. It was a fantastic experience!

LOKALNI NAVDIH✨: Studio Kresal x Designneeds. Odsevna znamka.

Njuna misija združevanja grafičnega oblikovanja z oblikovanjem pohištva omogoča edinstveno raziskovanje materialov in tehnik.

I’m excited for the Maribor Art Walk happening tomorrow! 🎨✨ With over 20 art spaces open from 4 PM to 10 PM, it’s a fantastic opportunity to explore local art. 🖼️ Sara Kresal and I will be showcasing our work at Studio Habitat at 9 PM. Our piece features a wooden cube with reflective surfaces, delving into the balance between nature, industry, and self-reflection. Hope to see you there!

Refleaf Cube✨
@studiokresal x @designneeds
.
.

The cube with reflective surfaces and elements of nature encourages us to reflect on our own identity and the purpose of our existence. The reflective surface confronts us with ourselves, reminding us of the importance of self-reflection. We often avoid looking ourselves in the eye and acknowledging who we are, what we have achieved, and where our paths in life lie. When this element is placed in a space, such as our home, it allows us to occasionally catch our reflection, pause for a moment to become aware of the moment, and focus on our presence in the space, reminding us that we are “here and now.”

Strah pred kreativnostjo.
