Title: Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead

Format: Season 1 | Total 12 Episodes

Studio: BUG FILMS

Where to Watch: Streaming now on Crunchyroll and Hulu

This is truly the only anime that makes you want to LIVE.

While most survival horrors focus on fear, gore, and bleak desperation, Zom 100 completely flips the script. It uses a colorful, vibrant art style to tackle a heavy reality: corporate burnout and modern lifestyle fatigue.

The story centers on 24-year-old Akira Tendo. After three agonizing years at an exploitative company, his spirit is totally crushed. His world is literally shown in black-and-white to represent his depression. He wants to sleep, he is physically exhausted, but the absolute panic of being late for his shift keeps him trapped.

Everything changes when a massive zombie apocalypse breaks out in Tokyo.

Instead of being terrified, Akira screams with pure joy. His very first thought? "I don't have to go to work anymore!"

Realizing his time on earth might be limited, he decides to truly start living. He writes a bucket list of 100 things he wants to do before turning into a zombie-from simple acts like dyeing his hair to massive road trips across Japan.

Over its 12-episode run, this masterpiece reminds us that we shouldn't wait for the world to end just to start living life on our own terms.

Fate/Apocrypha

Japanese: Fate/Apocrypha

Type: TV

Episode: 25

Genre: Action, Supernatural, Drama, Magic, Fantasy

SYNOPSIS:

Set in an alternate dimension to *Fate/stay night*- where the Greater Grail mysteriously vanished from Fuyuki following the Third Holy Grail War-the story unfolds just as the Fifth Holy Grail War is due to begin. The mage clan Yggdmillennia openly declares its secession from the Mage's Association, claiming possession of the Holy Grail. The Association dispatches fifty mages to reclaim it, only for them to be instantly slaughtered by a mysterious Servant. However, the sole survivor manages to activate the Greater Grail's backup system, capable of summoning fourteen Servants.

In the city of Trifas, two factions-each fielding seven Servants-prepare to battle for the ancient artifact. The Black Faction, under Yggdmillennia's command, defends the Grail, while the Red Faction, representing the Mage's Association, seeks to seize it. Amidst this standoff, the Grail summons a special Servant: the holy maiden known as Ruler, who is tasked with arbitrating the conflict between the Red and Black Factions.

INTERESTING FACT:

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is set in an alternate industrial-era Japan where humanity is forced to live inside heavily fortified stations to survive against terrifying undead creatures called Kabane.

The story follows Ikoma, a young steam smith who dreams of creating a weapon capable of defeating the Kabane. During an attack on his station, Ikoma is bitten by a Kabane but manages to stop the infection before it reaches his brain. Instead of becoming a complete Kabane, he becomes a Kabaneri - a being caught between human and monster.

Along with Mumei, a mysterious and incredibly skilled Kabaneri, Ikoma joins the survivors aboard the armored steam train Kotetsujou. They travel across a devastated Japan, fighting hordes of Kabane while searching for a way to survive.

What makes Kabaneri stand out is its unique combination of zombie horror, samurai-inspired action and steampunk technology. The armored trains create a constant feeling of tension, while the fast-paced battles, stunning animation and powerful soundtrack make the action even more memorable.

Ikoma's determination to prove that he is still human gives the story an emotional side, while Mumei's mysterious past adds another layer to their journey.

The anime has 12 episodes, making it a fairly quick watch. If you enjoy Attack on Titan and want something with a similar survival atmosphere but a completely different world and concept, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is definitely worth checking out.

One of those anime that deserves way more love.
