THE FINAL DAY HIGHLIGHTS... One last crack at the leaderboard, a few nervous anglers and plenty of “we just need one more good fish”.

And just like that, the 2026 Mallacoota Flatty Classic is done.

Three days of fishing, laughs, some cracking catches and enough stories to keep getting less believable until next year.

To every angler, sponsor, helper and the crew at Scallywags, thank you. There’s a huge amount that goes into this weekend, but it’s the people who turn up and get around it that make it what it is.

A massive thank you to Daiwa and all our partners for backing us and helping put together a weekend worth travelling for.

Congratulations to our winners. The rest of us will be referring to it as “more of a social weekend” from here on.

Enjoy the final day highlights. We’re going to need a bit of sleep.

Solid little wander along the beach with @josh_gray36 yesterday in search for some more King George Whiting on the soft plastics. Had the general Silver Trevally bycatch coming in thick and fast but managed to sneak the softies past the target species and get the job done before the rain set in.

The hunt for the giant is on! Haven’t had this much fun fishing in who knows how long, definitely getting the spark back and enjoying the sand between the toes!

@desolvesupplyco bib doing it what it does best, keeping my bottom half dry… I really need to buy the top half already.. but shopping time eats into fishing time.. priorities… can confirm it got slimed again this session @thetidaltale
