You showed me a reflection  Distorted images of who you were  You hung me out to dry  Blood is still dripping from my thighs  You needed to control me  My wings were soaked and heavy  The narrative that you created Awakened my empathetic spirit  You hid the truth of your desire  Stalked by your past They had cursed your existence  You were the victim. Was it all lies? You told me I was your angel  I laid bare my soul to you  You hid in the shadows, a demon I hang my head lifeless now Emotional vampires are well fed The blood slowly clotted  The ending is always a new beginning  That's why you left me for dead The pain is prolonged  The damage is so slow to heal I never knew your true reflection  My wounds just bleed and bleed You took an oath to misery The narrative written, pure fantasy  Love burns in betrayal and chaos The finale hidden in distorted mirrors SMcG 🖤🖤🖤 Credit for artwork @sensof.art #sineadmcgpoetry #betrayed #narrcisist #lovehurts #break #controller #writerscommunity #healingvibrations #lifelessons #igpoem #artforliving #darkroom #harshreality #doommetal #metalheads ##igpoetry #rottingchrist
