POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Too many of us carry the weight of being "strong for everyone else" in silence, normalizing pain that deserves real care and attention. But true strength starts with vulnerability and acknowledging that our well being is the foundation of everything we build.

Let's normalize prioritizing our health, breaking the silence, and showing up for ourselves the way we show up for others.

Drop a 🫶🏾 if you're leaning into your healing journey today!

This check in conversation on 30 Minutes, Give or Take with @drsumersamhoury drops Thursday, October 22 via YouTube (link in bio)

Clarisa Santos joined us for 30 Minutes, Give or Take to share her truth as a breast cancer survivor and advocate. This check in conversation is raw and so necessary!

30 Minutes, Give or Take is a Check On Your Girls conversation series built around one simple idea: What if the measure of our connection isn't how many people watch us, but how many people feel seen because of us?

We sit down with women, community voices, wellness professionals, and everyday people with something real to share. We talk about the milestones, the lessons, the heavy things we're carrying, and the health and wellness journeys we are all navigating.

Some conversations will make you laugh. Some might make you think. Some may hit a little closer to home.

But every single episode has a clear purpose: to remind someone watching or listening that they are not alone.

Because sometimes, all it takes is 30 minutes, give or take, to make a difference.

Some stories stay with you long after the video ends. Clarisa Santos’ is one of them.

Life can change in ways we never expected, and sometimes we find ourselves navigating challenges we never imagined. Clarisa is a 12-year breast cancer survivor who is now navigating menopause, and she has chosen to share her story so other women know they don’t have to face their health journeys alone.

Her willingness to be open about her experiences is a reminder of why these conversations matter. Women deserve to understand their bodies, feel comfortable asking questions, and know how to advocate for themselves, especially when they’re facing the unknown.

As we recognize Breast Cancer & Menopause Awareness Month and continue our conversations around menopause, we invite you to take a moment to check in with Clarisa, our testimonial panelist on October 17 at 11am inside Brandon Regional Library. We’re grateful she’s willing to share a part of her journey with us, and we hope her story reminds someone that they are not alone.

Because at Check On Your Girls, we believe no woman should have to navigate life’s challenges without support, understanding, or a village.

Link in our bio to register free and even if you don't register and have the urge in your heart to pull up, your welcomed to join us !!

This past year has been a hell of a roller coaster. There were times I had no idea what was next or what the next day held but I remained faithful in Him and trusted it would work out. Even at my lowest I felt rich beyond measure because how could I? As a father we don’t experience the same biological changes as mothers do during childbirth however, I was changed in so many ways when you came into the world. My heart transformed instantly. You really are the final piece to our unique puzzle of a family. You’ve added so much Joy into all of our lives and stolen the hearts of everyone we know 😂. As your father it’s bittersweet to know it’s already been a year and that you’ll eventually outgrow my arms but never my heart 🥲. With everything in me it’s my life’s purpose to provide all of you with the necessary love, knowledge, and experiences to make you the best possible human you can be. I’ll never claim to be perfect but I’ll always be present and giving my best. There’s nothing in this realm of existence or the next life I would trade this for 🤞🏾. Happy first birthday to our baby girl Isabella Imani Joy Hart 💛 AKA Belarus, SugarBootyBella, BooBella, or DADDY’s baby 🤧😂😂😂. We lit off breastmilk shots and yogurt bites all week my girl! 😂😂

At Check On Your Girls, intentionality means making sure you leave with more than motivation or a temporary feeling of inspiration.

Through intentional collaborations with medical experts, community leaders, trusted voices, businesses, and organizations, we’re committed to connecting women and girls with knowledge, resources, and support they can actually use.

That’s also why we create electronic Resource Guides you can access anytime, with helpful information, resources, connections, advocacy, and check-in activities to keep in your toolbox, revisit when needed, and share with others.

Because inspiration can spark change, but having the right tools and resources can help you take the next step.

We are excited for you to explore our Menopause Awareness Resource Guide, save it, and pass it along. Someone in your village may need it!

There's still space for you, join us this Saturday, October 17 at 11am inside Brandon Regional Library- link is in our bio
