My kind of picnic 🧺🇫🇷🛥️🥖

We spent a boat day on the French Riviera, had a picnic packed by @fscapferrat, some rose, and a swim, then got dropped off in Monaco to do some shopping! Ideal day if you ask me !!!

The upside to traveling without your husband? There’s always a reason to return! And after a few days at @botaniarelais, Ischia has solidified a top spot on my return-worthy list. 🍋

Devyn’s just back from the British Virgin Islands, where she experienced firsthand the long-awaited reopening of @peterislandresort on an official scouting trip with @wanderluxedestinations.

Following a seven-year restoration after the devastation of Hurricane Irma, the private-island classic has returned — and feels better than ever. Five beaches, calm turquoise water, and an unhurried rhythm once again define the experience: simple, restorative, and quietly luxurious. Days move easily between sea and shore, with time for snorkeling, sailing, long lunches, and panoramic spa moments overlooking the Caribbean (delivering notably, the “best massage of @destinationswithdevw’s life).

A thoughtful revival, and a meaningful return for one of the region’s most storied private-island escapes.

It was time to escape the cold and hold our first of the year @wanderluxedestinations FAM at @peterislandresort since it recently opened! Peter Island is a small but storied island in the BVI having a history that begins with Christopher Columbus and proceeds to current day. After being devastated and closed by Hurricane Irma in 2017, the island took 6 years to rebuild and reopen to make it "Our Island, Your Way". Getting to Peter Island is quite easy from many airports in the US, with a flight to either St. Thomas or Tortola followed by a boat ride bringing you to the island. The island is a haven for sailors and yachtsman alike, so the island has a Yacht Club that is open to both resort guests complimentary, and for outside guests at a cost. Here, you have sports courts, a pool and the Drunken Pelican, a lovely restaurant serving up local dishes as well as international cuisine. For guests staying on the island, Peter Island has 52 guest rooms that personify sophistication and coziness, with 28 of the rooms being beachfront. There are also two villas on-island for multi-gen families or friend groups, and the rooms are well-appointed with everything you need to feel at-home, always with a view of the blue waters of the Caribbean. The island has a phenomenal spa and fitness center, as well as 5 beaches for rest, relaxation, snorkeling, picnic lunches and views for miles. Activities on the island are plentiful, and we were able to partake in a few, including the chandelier dinner, beach cocktails and fire pit cook-out, a 5-mile island hike, a Sunday Funday out on the water on a private boat, a paint & sip sunset class, a picnic on White Bay Beach, yoga, the spa and just enjoying the beauty of the island with sunrise and sunset walks, dips in our jacuzzis and rum cocktails by the pool. In short, Peter Island is an icon as it kick-started luxury hospitality in the BVI. It's lush vegetation and quick rain showers made for rainbows every single day we were there...and when a place has a curve of magic and color around it and above it everyday...well...you know that is a place that you have to be!
