Such a surreal moment to be here and be surrounded by people who are on the same mission as me… to save lives and to spread awareness. ♥️

Why do so many non ginger men have ginger beards?

Men with ginger beards don't necessarily have ginger hair, and it's thanks to chromosome 4. Asked by: Ricky Gellatly, Oxford

Beard hair is quite different to head hair; it is coarser, curlier and doesn't fall out as we get older. Comparatively little work has been done on the genetics of human hair colour, but it is believed that in order to have a ginger beard you must be a carrier for the recessive gene on chromosome 4. With two copies of this gene you will have ginger hair all over, but with just one, the hair on your head will be brown or auburn and your beard will be ginger. Luis Villazon

Was Jesus A Ginger?

Normally we're used to seeing Judas portrayed in paintings with red hair, however in many cases Jesus likewise is depicted as a redhead. In fact, research into the Rabbula Gospels (the earliest dated Christian manuscript) has revealed that some of the images in the document have been repainted, and that the hair of Jesus Christ had been changed from curly red to straight black.

The Letter of Lentulus, an epistle supposedly sent by Publius Lentulus to the Roman Senate, but thought by scholars to be a forgery, also describes a red-haired Jesus. Stating that his hair was the "colour of the ripe hazel-nut". Some Islamic accounts describe Jesus with a reddish complexion as well. One stating that he was "a reddish man with many freckles on his face as if he had just come from a bath". I'll share some of the paintings I've come across which depict a red-haired Jesus Senpai Christ Jesus. Yesterday I had the pleasure of sharing my story at the Capital One Arena for the 8th Annual Organ Donation Awareness Charity Basketball Tournament with the National Kidney Foundation.

I’ve been walking in my purpose and it’s feels soo good. My goal is to raise enough awareness about Chronic Kidney Disease and support at least one person. I cannot wait to share more of the work I’m doing in the community.

SN: I did pretty well for my first public speaking role. I’m excited and I welcome any opportunities to speak about this.
