sophomore year!
no idc how late this is don’t talk about it.
ok to put it simply: this was the best school year ever to exist ever. quite literally. so many absolutely insane and magical things happened and i’ve never had such a fun and lively school year. plot point number 1: clue. guys clue was actually my peak, that’s no joke. it was my first lead and i couldn’t be more grateful for it. playing ms white surrounded by my best friends for months on end was an experience i will never forget. the cast was so connected and we were genuinely the funniest people to ever exist. haiden, you’re the freaking best and thank you. plot point number 2: mary girard. oh my god this show is incredible. such a beautiful story that turned into a strangely beautiful show. was the rehearsal time hell? yes. did we some how pull it off? also yes. and thank goodness we did. being a fury challenged me in ways i can’t really explain. you kinda just had to be there. but i’m so glad it happened. honors class: you’re insane, as insane as mary. plot point number 3: SCITS!!! guys it was my first scits and omg was it so fucking fun. yes we had the best room idc, yes we met mr sumter, yes we got a standing ovation, and yes we won superior. also to my fellow understudy cast, i love you guys and i loved performing with you. ok big one guys, plot point number 4: mamma mia. i can’t think too hard about this show without crying so ill keep it simple. this show was pretty life changing for me. i cried so much, like it hurt to cry by the end. but it was the most fun and challenging show ever and i’m so so so grateful for all of it. my dynamos, you guys gave me so much motivation and confidence so thank you for believing in me. also to the rest of the cast you guys are phenomenal. mrs d and mrs p and ms mccall, thanks for taking a chance on me. im sick of the plot points but showcase, blumeys, senior sendoff, all just so amazing and delightful. i can sense this is getting too long so i’ll just stop here. i love you guys, you’re all my favorite people. i can’t believe so many great things happened within just under a year. i can’t wait to see what junior year brings me.

bye bye sophomore year!!

this year is the year I was challenged the most, In acting, dancing, singing, academics, my morals, and as a person. I’ve been the most stressed, the most vulnerable, the most happy at some points, in my life. I’ve made so so many friends (shoutout my lil freshman ily), reconnected with friends (bowl), kept a ton (sophomore supreme), and even some friendships have waned. But I think there’s beauty in that (josephia reference). Thank you so much for theatre for being such a big part of my life you’ve changed me so much. Im so excited for next season of theatre and I’m so excited to start a new chapter at dance U with all my dance friends. I love you guys have a great summer, toodles!!
