This is my testimony. - - - > It’s hard to put into words what this past year has been for me.
There was a time when I was told I would never cheer again and that I could’ve died.
After suffering two severe concussions in the span of two months, I had to sit out my entire season. What started as an injury quickly became so much bigger than I could’ve ever imagined.
People saw me miss cheer, but they didn’t see the way the concussions affected every aspect of my life.
Something as simple as reading no longer made sense and was a struggle. I forgot conversations and memories, I lost my train of thought, and struggled to process the simplest things. People didn’t understand the frustration of not being able to balance normally, the constant headaches, the dizziness, or the fear that my brain might never recover. I was terrified at what my new “normal” was.
There were days my faith was all I had left. But even when I couldn’t feel Him, He never left me.
God met me in every doctor’s appointment, every setback, every moment of disappointment, and every cry.
He reminded me that His plan was greater than mine, even when I couldn’t see it. He taught me that my worth was never found in what I could do, but in who I am because I am His.
Healing did not happen overnight. It came one small step at a time and one day at a time. One prayer at a time. I could not have done it without the support and prayers from my family, friends, and teammates. Looking back now, I see that God wasn’t just healing my brain, He was strengthening my heart, deepening my faith, and teaching me to trust Him in ways I never had before.
Today, I have the opportunity to cheer in Barker-Lane again. THANK YOU JESUS!
Sometimes His greatest miracles happen in the waiting.

All glory belongs to God.
