I’m a big believer that we don’t need to keep everything to ourselves. If there’s something that makes running a florist business easier, why wouldn’t we share it?
And Through my work as a Florist Virtual Assistant, I’ve come across some brilliant systems that help my florist clients manage the admin, organise their businesses and claw back some precious time.
So, I’ve picked out four that I think are worth knowing about: swipe to see them
Each does something different, and the right fit will depend on how your business works and where you’re losing the most time.
I’m not saying you need all of them. And I’m certainly not suggesting you sign up for another subscription just for the sake of it!
But if one of these can take a repetitive task off your plate, help you get your numbers straight or give your customers a better experience, then sharing it feels like a no-brainer to me.
Because running a florist business is hard enough without all of us having to figure everything out from scratch.

Have you used any of these? Or is there another system you swear by? Share it in the comments. Let’s help make life a little easier for our fellow florists.

It’s almost time for @theweddingmba in Las Vegas! 🛩️🎲
Ready to learn, connect and keep leveling up the way we plan, produce and serve our clients 🙌🏽

🌸Last year I had a chance to spin the wheel at one
of my favorite booths at Wedding MBA-the @detailsflowers booth 🌸

• Their session on the Secrets of Top Event Florists was a great reminder that stunning designs come to life when paired with strong systems, expertly managed budgets and strategic execution.
Details Flower Software helps florists manage recipes, pricing, proposals, and inventory—so the creative vision can be executed beautifully and on budget.

A pretty table setting and a slightly vulnerable caption, because there’s been a lot on my mind lately.

I’ve been quiet here, but behind the scenes, I’m actively editing so many projects. There’s so much work I want to share, and I feel behind on that part of running a business. I’m barely posting Reels, haven’t gotten into TikTok, and keep thinking about the couples who might find me if I showed up more often.

But I’m also trying to be a present mom and wife, keep up with work, and find a little room for myself. My confidence has taken a hit lately, too. I haven’t been feeling good about my weight or my skin, and I suspect stress hasn’t helped.

This summer was also expensive in ways we hadn’t planned for. We had to replace our AC and furnace, then our basement flooded after our sump pump, backup battery, and ejector pump failed. Reconstruction has been delayed, but we finally got the insurance coverage settled—a relief after months of having it hanging over us.

And somewhere in all of this, I’m turning 40 in a couple of months.

That’s why I’m sharing this photo series. A beautiful dinner table like this makes me want to throw an elaborate dinner party of my own. Get dressed up, gather people I love, and let myself celebrate after working so hard.

Then I start thinking about the cost, the planning, and whether I should put that money somewhere else. Even something I’m excited about becomes another decision I can’t quite make.

I don’t have a neat lesson to wrap this up with. I’m grateful for so much, and I’m overwhelmed, too. Both are true.

Anyone else feeling this lately? Trying to keep up with everything while also wanting a little space to enjoy the life you’re working so hard for?

Such an inspiring day in the world of flowers! 🌸✨

I had the opportunity to attend a floristry competition, discover beautiful new flower varieties and meet some amazing people from the industry. We also took part in different floral workshops, learned new techniques and shared lots of creative ideas. 💐

It was such an interesting and inspiring experience, full of creativity, flowers and new impressions. I’m so happy to keep learning, experimenting and growing as a florist. 🌿🤍

I’m not going to lie, working alongside @flowersbydonnacornish to capture socials and content at FleurEx this weekend was bloody hard work. It’s not for the faint hearted but so so so worth while when you get to work alongside humble, resilient and passionate florists who really are putting their heart and soul into pulling off an incredible experience for florists and our industry.

Thankyou to everyone who put up with me asking endless questions with my craspedia mic and being such good sports about being recorded…I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but you all embraced it (with a little encouragement) which meant I recorded a 1000 photos, clips and interviews from the weekend!

Florally yours
Rachel

I get booked to DJ the Boss Lady Women’s Conference, but for me, it’s always been so much more than just a gig.

I’ve had the privilege of playing every single Boss Lady Conference, and every year I genuinely look forward to being in a room filled with so many incredible women who are brave enough to pursue their passions and kind enough to share their knowledge and experiences with each other.

One of the coolest parts has been knowing so many of these women since the beginning and getting to watch how much they continue to grow, evolve and accomplish. Growth is a continuous process, and being surrounded by women who keep learning, creating, building and going after their goals always leaves me inspired to keep pursuing mine too.

Thank you, Boss Ladies! Already looking forward to next year. 💙

There are some great conversations happening at FleurEx this year 🌸

The Business Drop Ins are all about the things that really matter when it comes to running a floristry business and this years Business Drop In’s are kindly sponsored by @detailsflowers 🙌🏻

From pricing and profit to AI, sustainability, British growing, buying flowers and the future of floral foam, there’s plenty to get everyone thinking and talking.

These are relaxed, informal sessions with lots of opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts and pick up ideas that can actually be used back your business.

Best of all, they’re included with a general FleurEx ticket, so there’s no need to book. Just grab a seat and join the conversation 💐

So, which conversation has got your attention? 👀🌸
