JUNGLE CULTURE. Everything Jungle - Beats. Bass. Life.

Celebrating the 3rd anniversary of what I think is the best Jungle group on the internet. A place where there’s no nonsense, no posers, no gimmicks. Just the realest, authentic version of the music presented by its members and defended staunchly by its administrators 😁🤘. This is Jungle Culture.

Featuring recent and unreleased music from Detboi, Park Shadow, Rift, HLZ, Blade, Quartz & Mako etc…

Big up Troy & Ian for asking me to put a mix together. Love the group, the music and most importantly the laughs 😁.

When it comes to soundsystem music, @qqantt can do it all. whether it’s crafting dubstep wobblers or blending rare, unheard breaks in their dystopian, unpredictable jungle, the Parisian producer is comfortable applying low end pressure no matter the tempo or rhythm.

as a member of the Toulouse-based Egregore collective and with releases on Sound Enforcers, Subtle Audio, Repertoire, and Trajectoire, the prolific producer and DJ has cemented their reputation as one of the leading voices pushing French bass music forward.

we are thrilled that they have contributed the March mix for the @subtleradio lava show.

@musiqueplastique had some gems today.
All these amazing artists that I grown to love and also to explore more of…..I will def say that if it wasn’t for @blairminor for putting me on @trentemollerprivat years ago……..well I can say that I thank hi from the bottom of my heart for getting me into the project.

Fucking finding another Dub Police record is like finding a domain in the rough….and this one from @caspaofficial is truly a belter of a EP.
@detboi from @metalheadzmusic is always a treat and this one is a Percy for sure………and finally @godfleshofficial side project FINAL, the most violent of ambiance emotions…………..def a great score for today.

Why I love Jungle & Drum and Bass 🖤🎚️

Once this music grabs your soul… it never lets go.

There’s something about it; the rawness, the chaos, the emotion, that just hits different. That heartbeat above 160bpm isn’t just tempo… it’s therapy. It’s life.

People say it sounds harsh, industrial, even aggressive. But if you really listen, you hear truth, emotion, art, and behind it all, some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Even the big names; they reply to messages, support your mixes, chat to you like old mates. There’s no ego here. Just passion. Just love for the sound.

I live and breathe this. I listen to a lot on Goldie’s Metalheadz label, artists like Quartz, Mako, LAW, ASC, Ink, and Detboi… people who aren’t chasing hype, just creating art. Music that pulls you in, shakes your bones, and reminds you why this genre is eternal.

And honestly… this music is my safe space. If I’m having a bad day, it gives me that controlled aggression; that energy that brings me back to myself. If I’m having a good day, it amplifies everything. It always has the answer. Always!

It was a huge part of helping my mental health through lockdown, and it still is to this day. When everything felt heavy, Jungle and Drum and Bass gave me light, focus, and fire again.

There’s no other genre that gives you that raw, underground, defined sound that’s still true to its roots, and still powered by the same originators who push that passion forward every single day.

I started out on House, Techno and Trance, but over time, that world slowed down, lost the grit. Jungle never did. It’s still got that edge; that pulse that shakes your chest, rattles your bones, and makes you feel alive.

This isn’t just music.
It’s culture. It’s emotion. It’s who we are.
For me, it’s more than a sound.
It’s home. 🖤
