A scatty edit of our first week on the road.

Heading from Dover across to Calais - straight in to Burgundy - onto a few days in the Camargue - passing through the French Riviera with pit stops in Menton to see a friend and Gorbio with a mosquito related medical hiccup - then through the boarder into Italy - a focaccia stop and swim in Noli - camping on Lake Como and then…. 🛻🌊🪨⛰️🌄🏊‍♀️⛈️

One of the best wildlife encounters…and in London of all places. Watch on for Beaver asmr 🦫

We spent three hours patiently waiting and watching, finally catching a couple of glimpses of the illusive beavers in the water. We were beyond happy with this but decided to go for one last walk before heading home. We heard there was a felled tree so went to have a look. As we made our way down the small path, we turned a corner and had the best surprise. This beauty was completely content and gnawed away for around 20 minutes just inches in front of us. We stopped moving as soon as we saw her and soon realised after she looked up at us casually, that she was completely unfazed by our presence. Never could I have imagined such a close encounter ❤️ can’t stop smiling. What a beautiful creature, and what fantastic sounds she makes chewing her way through the habitat!

*this was a completely wild and surprising encounter. We did not chase her or get any closer than the point of turning the corner and seeing her. Just stood still watching as quietly as possible
