📍Slab Shop, Newcastle @detroitslabshop @lockupouseburn

Gorgeous afternoon had at the S L A B S H O P ❤️‍🔥🍕
Filling our boots with the tastiest and chunkiest of slices!!

Signature Slab, Mac Daddy, Double Down and Get Clucked.
Get Clucked won the gold for us, stuuuuuunnnnning 🤩

Lush location too, we parked at the @balticgateshead crossed over the Millennium Bridge and had a lovely little mooch down to justify scranning the mega pint portions😋 Hopefully a new NE location will be revealed soon!!

This is definitely one to add to your foodie lists if you haven’t already 👏 thanks for the invite, we had a fab time !!

Bonus feature; although we weren’t there for the music, whatever playlist @lockupouseburn had on was absolutely unreal. Could of stayed until the AM 🤣

Someone told me a while ago that to grow on social media you need to post consistently, clearly I’m not very good at that.🤦🏻‍♀️ However, here is little collection of photos from my camera roll this summer…

1. An evening at @kilnouseburn in Newcastle.

2. Isaac and I - @brasseriezedel.

3. Detroit-style pizza @detroitslabshop.

4. Jesmond Dene Mill

5. Isaac in the hallway of the tenement where we stayed in Stockbridge, Edinburgh.

6. Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.

7. Cat cuddles.

8. Edinburgh at twilight. Still my favourite city.

9. Enjoying shows at The Edinburgh Festival.

10. The gorgeous shop at @lannanbakery.

11. Stunning wrapping papers from @thekensingtonpaperie.

12. An outfit I felt lovely in.

13. The incredible talent on display at The Royal Academy Young Artists’ Summer Show.

14. I loved this film so much, I went to see it TWICE at the cinema.

15. Lunch at The Good Reader, Crouch End.

16. Trains in my Mum’s garden.

17. St. Ives, Cambridgeshire.

18. Candy floss sky.

Edinburgh Pizza Crawl, featuring some classics and more recent additions🍕

1. Slice Syndicate
2. Little Woodfire
3. Civerinos
4. Sear’s
5. Slab Shop
Honorable mention: Bar Napoli

First photo is from Slice Syndicate—Perfectly crispy and best enjoyed after a round of pitch and putt at Bruntsfield Links

#edinburgh #edinburghfood #scotland #pizza #edinburghpizza

Little Woodfire—I loooooove the pizza here, such a GEM. The pizza is amazing and the staff are so friendly, 100/10

Civerinos—a staple and always a hit

Sear’s in Marchmont

I really like this place. The New York style slices are great and they offer fun American topping combos, like vodka sauce or buffalo chicken, perfect for a Friday pizza night !

Slab Shop on Frederick St

Detroit-style pizzas, crispy & fluffy—need to go back and try more combos !!

Honorable mention: a late night Bar Napoli 🤫

Apparently I’ve been dining out in Edinburgh all wrong…

AD | GIFTED

I started using Shuffle, an app that gives you random cashback when you eat and drink at participating spots around Edinburgh - and I got £33.46 cashback from ONE dinner at Captain Darling ✨

@shufflerewards

And after just one week of using it, I’d earned £45.57 in cashback altogether.

Here’s where I tried it:

📍 Captain Darling | @thecaptaindarling
📍 Williams & Johnson | @williams_and_johnson_coffee
📍 SLAB Shop | @detroitslabshop

You just link your card, pay as you normally would and then give your phone a shake to reveal how much cashback you’ve earned. And yes, it’s actual cash you can withdraw straight to your bank account.

If you’re already eating and drinking your way around Edinburgh, you might as well get some money while you’re doing it 🫶🏼

You can get 3 months of Shuffle free through the link in my bio using my code 8naosr.

If you’ve not tried any yet, grab your coat and get going haha

When people ask for my fave food places in Newcastle, I can never choose. But best bites?!…even worse 😂

I have managed to whittle to 10 top, but in no particular order. I’ve been eating gooooood this year already. Plenty of cheat days exploring.

Summer body who? On my foodie list is:

@daveys_uk - butter boy burger
@pizzaglobe - Nashville pizza
@the_woodmans_arms - sticky toffee pudding
@stupid.good.pizza - kinda carbonara pizza
@hickoryssmokehouse - beef baby back ribs
@detroitslabshop - double down pizza
@pickleandpeach_ - strawberry shortcake French toast
@thisisbreadwin - hot honey chicken sandwich
@theindiansnacklunchbox - chicken tikka cheese fries
@bignormsbbq - 14hr smoked beef brisket

Are there any dishes you think I need to try?

Visiting the Edinburgh Fringe this year and already thinking about what you’re gonna eat and when? Girl same 😭🍕

Freshly made dough, fresh Edinburgh site, fresh as f*ck cans of Coke in a heatwave. Perfect 😘

Spending the day celebrating the best day of my life and second best day of Ben’s life… god damn Newcastle winning the cup 🏆 😜

We’ve wanted to try Lock Up for a while now and it is everything and more … the cocktail menu is GIVING 🍸 🍹

Soaked up nicely with the amazing Slab Pizzas 🍕

Then on to the lighthouse to relive our day 12 years ago.

Here’s to 12 years … and many many more.

welcome to my july favourites 🍽️

🥪 if i am after a fresh and delicious sandwich @crave.ne at @mackies_corner is always the place to go - they have set menu options, but also make your own

✂️ another new opening to sunderland is @no.32sunderland and they have had a brilliant start - so nice to see so many new spots opening in sunderland!

🌿 @kilnousebrun was another new try for me and it was gorgeous! so fresh and delicious, and the perfect spot for a date night sharing gorgeous food

🍕 can’t believe how long it took me to try @detriotslabshop and it didn’t disappoint - generous portions, such good flavours and a perfect spot at the @lockupouseburn
