💛 Our first NBT Connect Community Conversations… what a morning! 🤝✨

Today we brought together some fantastic local businesses and early years providers for our very first NBT Connect Community Conversations!

And what a brilliant turnout! 🙌

The whole reason I created these sessions was to bring people together, create a space for open and honest conversations, share experiences, talk about challenges and explore how we can better support one another AND the families in our community.

Because there’s so much knowledge, experience and passion right here in Nottingham, and sometimes all it takes is getting the right people in a room together! 💛

We had some fantastic conversations, brilliant ideas, shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration.

Exactly what I’d hoped these sessions would create!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who gave up their Sunday morning to join us, contribute and be part of something new. Your openness, enthusiasm and willingness to support one another is what community is all about.

And a special thank you to Molly-May at @devastation.station for kindly hosting our very first session! 🫶

The feedback has been absolutely lovely, and the message was clear… you want MORE! 👏

So now the question is… where to next, and what’s on the agenda? 👀

We’ve already got plenty of ideas and conversations to build on, and I’m excited to see where we can take NBT Connect together.

This isn’t about networking for the sake of networking. It’s about building genuine relationships, creating opportunities and strengthening the support available to families across Nottinghamshire.

Community over competition. Always. 💛

Watch this space for our next Community Conversation!

💛 IT’S THIS WEEKEND! ARE YOU JOINING US?

This Sunday, we’re bringing together our local community for the very first NBT Connect Community Conversations!

Whether you’re a local class provider, small business owner, charity, organisation or community champion working with families, there’s a place for you at the table!

Let’s talk about what’s happening in our community, the challenges we face, what families really need and how we can work better together.

Because sometimes the biggest opportunities start with the simplest conversations. 💛

Look what we found today! Hettie and I had a lovely time at @devastation.station with Molly-May! Hettie LOVED all of the different play stations and I LOVED the fact I could sit and have a lovely hot chocolate and watch her enjoy some independent play! The awesome Molly-May was so lovely and welcoming. Hettie loved singing and dancing with her at the end of the session 🥰 we will definitely be going back!

We’re calling on our amazing local providers, classes, groups and businesses to get involved between 9th–15th October in supporting @zephyrsnottingham and the incredible work they do for bereaved families.

It doesn’t have to be a huge fundraiser — small actions across our community can make a really big difference, helping to raise both money and awareness, while showing grieving parents and families that they are supported and remembered.

You could:
• Hold a small fundraiser at your class or group
• Sell cakes or sweet treats and donate the proceeds
• Run a raffle or prize draw
• Donate £1 from every booking during the week
• Host a sponsored activity, walk, challenge or themed session
• Have a collection pot at your venue
• Run a special coffee morning or family get-together
• Ask families to make a small optional donation at a session
• Donate a percentage of sales from a product or service
• Simply help us share information and raise awareness of Zephyr’s and the support available
Whatever you choose to do, you’ll have the full support of us at NBT Connect. We can help share your fundraiser, promote what you’re doing and bring our community together behind it.

We’d love to see as many of our providers as possible doing something, however big or small, from 9th–15th October, to support local bereaved families.

If you’d like to get involved, drop me a message and let’s see what we can do together. 🤍

Thank you 🙏🏽

✨ WE HAVE SOME BIG NEWS TO SHARE ✨

You may have noticed we’ve gone a little quiet recently, and there’s a reason for that...

Earlier this week, we received the devastating news that our original venue could no longer host NBT Fest due to circumstances completely outside of our control. After months of planning, organisation, bookings, and preparation, it felt like everything we’d worked so hard for was suddenly at risk.
As many of you know, NBT Fest isn’t organised by a big team – it’s organised by me, with the support of an incredible community of families, local businesses, volunteers and supporters who believe in what we’re trying to create.
Over the last few days, there have been countless phone calls, emails, venue visits, conversations, recommendations and a lot of determination behind the scenes. I was absolutely determined not to let down the families, small businesses and community groups who were looking forward to this event.

And today, I’m so excited to finally be able to say...

🎉 NBT FEST IS GOING AHEAD! 🎉

A huge thank you to Women’s Fitness Collective CIC and Everyone Active, whose support has helped us secure a fantastic new venue:
📍 Jamie Brough Pavilion
Kenbrook Road, Hucknall
NG15 8HR

The event will still take place on Saturday 4th July from 10am – 3pm and will feature everything that makes NBT Fest so special:
⭐ Local small businesses
⭐ Family activities and entertainment
⭐ Children’s attractions
⭐ Community organisations
⭐ Food and refreshments
⭐ A fantastic day out for families
And much much much more!

And because we wanted to make the event as accessible as possible following the venue change...

🎟️ NBT FEST IS NOW FREE TO ATTEND! 🎟️

I honestly cannot thank everyone enough who reached out with venue suggestions, contacts, messages of support and encouragement. At a time when things felt incredibly uncertain, your kindness reminded me exactly why what we do matters.
