From experimental sound art to raw Detroit techno, this lineup brings together two artists whose work exists somewhere between the dance floor, deep listening and the spaces in between.

Berlin based sound artist, composer and DJ Dasha Rush has spent years pushing electronic music beyond conventional boundaries. Her work spans releases on Sonic Groove and Raster-Noton, alongside her own Fullpanda Records and Hunger to Create imprints. Blending dubby textures, intensity, atmosphere and experimentation, Rush treats genre as a starting point rather than a destination. Her live performances and multidisciplinary projects explore the relationship between machines, sound, movement and human experience.

Detroit’s Luke Hess brings a sound deeply rooted in the city’s underground. Influenced by the warehouse parties of the 1990s and armed with a background in mathematics and engineering, Hess approaches techno through frequencies, tones and detailed sound design. His productions have appeared on DeepLabs, FXHE, Planet E, Dolly, Rekids, Echocord and numerous other respected labels, while his hypnotic DJ and live performances have taken him to some of the world’s most influential clubs and festivals.

‘One’ by Perc & Barbosa is out today on Perc Trax. Two tracks of stripped back, bass heavy, psychedelic techno.

Here are videos of me playing out the ‘One’ track at @technosnobsaz & @disconnect_phx in Phoenix and @_nevstv in New York. These tracks have been working perfectly in my sets for months now.

Temperatures were running extremely high for this @section_hq set. The heat in fact enhanced the energy and made it feel like a proper club session (as you can detect in the playback!)
Thanks all of you, inside and out for joining me, and to the OG Mr @ciscoadvent and @mahaiping for the superb accompanying sets. (Also a special mention to @skss_ssk for the exceptional yellow-fan manoeuvres during the second half 👌)

Amsterdam-based Keith Carnal has become widely recognized in recent years as a tastemaker in the modern techno scene, earning the support of many established artists often considered techno mainstays. Raised in a musical household in northern Holland, Carnal discovered techno early on while exploring music on his own, and it quickly became the genre that left the deepest impression on him. As he began composing, that connection only grew stronger, confirming that techno was where he truly belonged. His sound places a strong emphasis on melody and groove, creating music clearly designed for the dancefloor; while his melodies often carry an ominous, melancholic tone, they are balanced by driving percussion that pushes the tracks forward. This blend gives his productions a fresh, immersive energy that resonates with both audiences and fellow DJs. Carnal’s productions closely mirror his DJ approach, where he maintains momentum through energetic grooves and confidently blends classic tracks with newer material, often favoring atmospheric selections with strong melodic elements and powerful bass and percussion. With several new releases and an extensive international touring schedule including headline appearances at major festivals and clubs Keith Carnal continues to stand out as a refreshing force in today’s techno landscape.

For this one I’d been working on a lot of new patches and songs for my upcoming label’s debut EP (follow @somnex.io if you want to be first to know about this release).
