For the girlies who love a cinnamon roll green flagโ€ฆ meet Aethan Starkling. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’š Sweet? Absolutely. Devoted? Completely. Carrying enough emotional baggage to fill an entire dragonโ€™s hoard? Oh, absolutely. ๐Ÿ˜‚ And this artwork by the incredible @devilin_art captures one of my favorite Aethan moments perfectly: โ€œAethan poured everything he couldnโ€™t find the words to express into his kiss. It was gratitude and surrender, grief and hope, a promise without words that if she was willing to stand beside a broken man, he would finally stop trying to push her away.โ€ Aethan may not know what love is, but he sure knows how to show it. ๐Ÿฅน Artwork: @devilin_art #StormbornChronicles #AethanStarkling #Romantasy #FantasyRomance #CinnamonRollMMC

You are not ready for James and Cordelia. When I saw this breathtaking art by @devilin_art, I was speechless. Just LOOK AT THEM!โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ญ I mean it when I say these characters will capture your heart and break it into a million pieces like they are doing to me as I write them. I knew their ending from the beginning, but I never expected telling their real story from their perspectives would hurt so much. An outcast siren. A broken-hearted sailor. A shipwrecked romance on cruel seas. ๐ŸŒŠโš“๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค When Cordelia meets a young sailor freeing a stingray from a net, she questions everything sheโ€™s been told about humans. Years later when she is forced to target the pirate captain of a sinking ship to prove her worth as a siren, she recognizes him as the sailor she never forgotโ€ฆand she canโ€™t bring herself to drown him. Instead, she saves his life. But he is hardly the same gentle sailor she remembers. And she is hardly the same naive siren who sang to him from the edge of his rowboat years ago. They will defy everything to be togetherโ€ฆeven if it sinks them both, and drags the world down right along with it. ๐Ÿ’” #piratebooks #mermaidbooks #artreveal #darkfantasyromance #forbiddenromancebooks

๐ŸŽ‰ARCS GO OUT AT 7 PM MST๐ŸŽ‰ If youโ€™d like a copy, please sign up at the ๐Ÿ”— in my bye-oh! I cannot believe we made it to this point. I wrote this book while pregnant. My intention was to release A Fated Kiss in the early fall of 2025; however, writing became a whole new ball game while growing my daughter. DRAFT 1 - I finished the first draft August 2025, at only 76k. Iโ€™ve never written a book so short. I averaged about 400 words per writing day (woof.) DRAFT 2 - I sent it for beta reading, and then once I finished the second draft in October 2025. It grew just under 10k, at 85,000 words. Once again, WOOF. DRAFT 3 - After it went through a developmental edit, it grew to 91,000 words, which was much more acceptable to me. It was given to my editor at the beginning of December 2025. DRAFT 4 - After a copy edit, I turned in my fourth draft at 110,000 words. FINALLY. It took me all of February, and I added 19k. I hope you all are ready! I am nervous, of course, but very excited for you all to see the end of Arlet and Vannโ€™s story! #romantasybooks #book #fantasyromance #danielaamera #afatedkiss Art by @devilin_art and @dextrose.png

ARC review โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ | ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ The Light Under the Shadow Wing by Amanda Bouchet Release date: 23rd February 2026 Thank you to @thenerdfam for the gifted eARC. This book started well, there is worldbuilding but itโ€™s not overwhelming. This is a world where magic is waning and we have fae, vampires, humans, were beasts & dragon shifters vying for power. I really enjoyed the forbidden, secret attraction between Bale (our dragon shifter king MMC) and Idallia (our elite warrior FMC), who has 3 Phoenix companions. The longing and the โ€˜will they, wonโ€™t they?โ€™ was done well. I also enjoyed the found family element, but I wish the side characters could have been fleshed out a bit more to really feel that connection. Thereโ€™s action, secrets, and betrayal, and the plot twist is something I didnโ€™t see coming! I also loved Idalliaโ€™s character development. I will say that there is a miscommunication trope in this that did get frustrating, and I wanted to yell at the characters, but overall it didnโ€™t take too much away from my enjoyment of the story. This is the first in a series of interconnected, standalone romantasies, and Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing where the next book takes us! Iโ€™d recommend this to anyone who loves dragons, vampires, slow burn that delivers on spice, twists and turns, and a HEA. ๐Ÿ’ญ ๐”น๐•๐•ฆ๐•ฃ๐•“ Idallia has spent two centuries fighting in the Dragon Kingโ€™s Elite Wing as a phoenix riderโ€”feared in battle, but still searching for the truth of who and what she really is. The more time she spends with Bale Cinderheart, the fiercely protective and dangerously dominant Dragon King, the harder it becomes to ignore their forbidden attraction. But Bale holds the answers to her pastโ€”truths that could cost him his crown, his kingdom, and his heart. With magic fading and war on the horizon, he must choose: protect the realmโ€ฆ or burn the world down for her. When I look at 2024 Rachel and compare her to 2025 Rachel, I am blown away. I technically reached six-figure status, which is HUGE. Like, MONUMENTAL. I still can't believe it. Granted, the six figures are gross, not net, and SO, SO much of that was spent on ads, book printing, shipping, and other costs. But still. It's a huge milestone that deserves to be celebrated. I got to attend so many events and meet so many wonderful people. I started a direct sales store and saw incredible success with it. My Kickstarter campaigns are growing bigger than I ever thought they could. I'm so proud of what I've achieved this year. Of the readers I've gained. The authors I've grown closer to. The relationships that have developed and strengthened over the year. The WAY too much art I've commissioned ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿซฃ I'm grateful for how I've grown as an author and small business owner. There is a lot to be grateful for and a lot to look forward to. We've all accomplished something this year: Whether good or bad, we've survived another year. That alone is something to be acknowledged. So here's to surviving another year, and improving ourselves along the way โค #indieauthor #indiepublishing #smallbusinessowner #romantasybooks #romantasyauthor #fantasyromancebooks

If you've been around here for a while, you know how much I love commissioning art of my fictional babies. Sometimes I like to joke that I write books so I can fund my real career of supporting the arts like the patrons of old. When Artefacts was coming to an end, I wondered if I should keep getting more art of Lor and Nadir and their friends, and I think the answer is yes because I know I'm not done with them yet, and I don't think you are either. Plus, new readers find the series every day. So I thought I'd share this piece of Lor and Nadir by the incredibly talented @devilin_art just having a soft, quiet moment... in my mind, this might have been the morning after the party in The Woodlands in Fate (IYKYK) had their lives not been so chaotic. Just Lor being peaceful and Nadir being a protective grumpy bear. There are some more NSFW versions of this art too ๐Ÿ‘€ ... if you want to see them, make sure you're signed up for my newsletter, as I'll share them there this week.
