My experience vending! 🍂

Got there at 9 AM because I was way too excited to set up (and wary of traffic). The show ran from 10:30–7:00, so Tim Hortons in the morning was essential, as well as tea and poutine for lunch. Shout out to @collectorsclash for being so welcoming 💚

I think this was my fifth show and I've learned to manage my expectations. I usually only sell one binder. But there's so much more to vending than sales.

Meeting new people, hearing compliments about my work, and getting asked to paint custom cards make these shows worthwhile. Sometimes conversations even turn into future commissions, which is always encouraging. 🥹

Huge thank you to @fastbro.shop for splitting a table with me again!! It makes vending more manageable, and thank you for putting up with me yapping for hours. We also buy Pokémon packs during slow moments and rippem. Did we pull anything good? Nope💀

Also, low-key open to trading packs for a binder discount.

My Leafeon binder sold on ig the next day, leaving me with THREE binders: a 9-card Psyduck and two 4-card binders featuring Cubone and Mimikyu!

My first show was honestly disheartening, and I almost didn't want to vend again. But I've realized people mostly come for the cards, which is totally fair! I hope my work inspires collectors to give their favourite cards a beautiful, hand-painted home.

I've been painting a couple of decades and teaching art to both kids and adults, but making art financially sustainable was always difficult. Now I get to paint people's favourite Pokémon, meet amazing people, attend shows, and actually earn something doing what I love. It feels like a dream, and I'm so grateful to everyone who buys my binders, comes back for more, commissions me, or simply stops to compliment my work.

AND WE PASSED 1,000 FOLLOWERS!! 😭 Thank you for being part of this little dream.

Thank YOU and Happy Thanksgiving 🍁

I'm still accepting custom binder commissions! The holidays are coming, so reach out early for a gift for someone you love (or yourself)

@devilmaycats shout out for gengar/mimi/cubone design!
