I am extremely grateful and excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Lycoming College! I want to thank all my coaches who have helped me along the way especially Coach Hayden, Coach Mark, and Coach Mike, without you guys I would not be where I am today. Also huge thanks to Coach Oliveri and the whole Lycoming staff for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity. Special thank you to the Anderson Monarchs Organization for helping me grow as a player and a person, and helping me form lifelong friendships. In addition thank you to SCH Baseball for helping me through my high school journey. Lastly thank you to my parents for putting countless hours into helping me achieve my dream. Lyco 31’

We are thrilled to announce that Matt Owens has been named the next Head Baseball Coach at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy!
After an extensive search process, our fantastic search committee reviewed more than 35 applications and interviewed eight coaches. We are incredibly excited to welcome Coach Owens to SCH and believe he is the right person to lead our baseball program into its next chapter.
Coach Owens recently served as the Associate Head Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Chestnut Hill College with coaching stints at Norfolk State University and Camden County College. He brings nine years of collegiate coaching experience, a strong background in player development and recruiting, and a deep commitment to mentoring student-athletes. His experience also includes working in college admissions and with the Anderson Monarchs, giving him a unique understanding of both the athletic and educational sides of supporting young athletes. Matt will also serve as assistant equipment manager for the Blue Devils, providing additional depth and experience to the Athletic Department.
Director of Athletics, Becca Main on Coach Owens: “Coach Owens stood out throughout our search because of his competitive spirit, his leadership qualities, and his genuine excitement about building something special at SCH. He brings the collegiate coaching experience and player-development background to help grow our baseball program at every level, but just as importantly, he is eager to be on the front foot for our student-athletes and our program. We believe Matt will bring tremendous energy, accountability, and a clear vision for where SCH Baseball can go next.”
Please join us in welcoming Coach Owens to SCH! We are excited about the energy, experience, and leadership he will bring to our student-athletes and our entire baseball community.

What a way to end the baseball season by winning the Aberdeen 3 up 3 down 15/16u championship down at Ripken in Aberdeen, Maryland. Played 7 events this summer. 3 championships and 2 runner up finishes. Ended with a 22-7 overall record. Missing Roger today for the picture.

The PAISAA State Tournament begins today 🏆

Will Malvern Prep win their fourth straight state title, or will a new name bring home the trophy?

Last game of the season today for SCH Baseball. Scored 21 vs St. Joe’s prep. Gave Malvern their best game of the year yesterday, losing on a walk off in the bottom of the last inning 9-8. Won 12 of our last 14. (only 2 losses to Malvern) Finished 16-5-1 and 7-3 in the Inter-ac. Im gonna miss this awesome team.
