All I can say is this community online and in-person made such an impact for this organization today- surpassing the walk goal of $120k. The people who show up just don’t get enough credit. I am so grateful to have shared this with my co-captain @izzyrose and forever thankful for @erikapledger for putting in work behind the scenes and introducing me to @bestbuddiesnorthflorida . We walked (and sweat) for families just like ours today, and I can’t help but feel like what once seemed like such a heavy path after diagnosis was really just a door opening for me to use my voice. I’m so honored and humbled to have been asked to come back this fall to share our story again at the Best Buddies Gala in November. You haven’t seen the last of the Sunshine Squad 🤍 ☀️

Now onto spearheading this incredible organization in the Lowcountry!🤍
