“Happiness” by Van Solo

🎬 Directed by @vannieworld_

🎥 Shot by @devinnpierre

Hawai’i / August 2011

This track features smooth flowing lyrics from Van Solo over the melodies of Gorillaz and Little Dragon’s “Empire Ants” while taking in the beauty of the Island of Oahu in Hawai’i.

While Devin’s camera work lays down angles and scenes that let you feel like you’re right there with them, Vannie’s pace and style creates a refreshingly satisfying sound that makes you coming back for more.

Even though this track is 15 years old, it could mistakenly be a track that just dropped as its sound is timeless.

I feel so fortunate to have made a cameo on this track.. when I watch it it brings back memories and I think about the good times we had.

One of my favorite parts of this video is the shot of Vannie signing a bunch of CD’s and giving it to @julesgayton at @leilowhawaii.

What I also really enjoy about the film work is seeing parts of the island through someone else’s eyes and seeing what they think is beautiful..

I got the album “Veeology” and play it front to back ! You can find it and add it on @spotify.

Big mahalo to @vannieworld_ and @devinnpierre for including me in this video !

Watch more videos on Vannieland on @youtube !

Please follow them and their projects ✨🫡✨
