You @devongilfillian, my love, are an angel. It’s only been a year-ish, but somehow it feels like I’ve known your love my entire life. Being so very loved by you, loving you, and being this ridiculously happy still feels a little unreal. And to think, it all started because I Shazamed your song in a movie. You flew to NYC to meet me for the very first time, and from that very first day, I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since.

I love you so much, my baby, my booboo, my ❤️.

No armor. No angle. Nick Carpenter, aka @mediumbuild sat down with us and gave us everything–raw, heart-on-sleeve honesty from the very first minute.

He gets it. He understands why we’re on the road, and why the search itself matters just as much as what we find. We didn’t want this conversation to end. This is the America we set out to find, one honest conversation at a time.

You can hear that same unfiltered honesty on his new album, King of Having Fun.

See the whole conversation on #YouTube, link in our bio!

The new album from Devon Gilfillian, 'Time Will Tell,' out now on @fantasyrecords, spun from some difficult times for the Philly-raised, Nashville-born musician. Says Devon in a new Q&A with WFUV: "When I wrote [the song] "Glad to Be Here," I knew that I was writing from a new perspective on life. My Dad's heart attack made me realize how short the time is that we get on this earth. It made me realize that if I don't cherish these moments I have with my Dad, my family, and my friends, I'm just letting time slip away from me without intention. These people in our lives won't be here forever and neither will you, so we need to hold on to these people we care about."

FUV couldn't be happier to welcome an artist of the depth and grace as Devon to be the headliner of our forthcoming benefit concert, "An Evening with Devon Gilfillian, SNACKTIME, and special guest Danielle Ponder" at Sony Hall @sonyhall on Wednesday, November 11. Tix on sale now at WFUV.org and Eventbrite.com (where you can also look into our VIP party + package).

Since Devon Gilfillian @devongilfillian made his first appearance at WFUV's Studio A back in 2019, the Nashville-based musician has been an essential artist on this radio station — and why it's meaningful that he's headlining "An Evening with Devon Gilfillian, SNACKTIME, and special guest Danielle Ponder," the station's benefit concert, on November 11 at Sony Hall @sonyhall. (Get your tix NOW at WFUV.org or Eventbrite.com)

Gilfillian's third album of original songs is 'Time Will Tell,' which bookmarks a dramatic period of Gilfillian's life, and the songs that spun from his reckoning with love, mortality, and his own life's purpose. In a new FUV Q&A, Gilfillian digs into those themes, recording at a storied Nashville studio, and his deeper dive into the rebellious side of country music. He also adds his culinary two cents to SNACKTIME's "Five Essential Philly Snacks" with his own picks of prime Philly noshes!

Learn more about Devon via the Q&A at WFUV.org — and see this exceptional artist on 11/11 via FUV's "An Evening with Devon Gilfillian, SNACKTIME @snacktime and special guest Danielle Ponder @daniellepondermusic."

“I don’t think everybody should be a protest singer… there’s enough people out there doing it.”

“Sometimes we need escape from reality, too... I might be coming to you because I want to feel something different… I might be listening to try to relax.” ~ Sunny War
