Golfers stop the excuses, it’s time to look after your health and your strength for the future of your playing days.

Golf is a great bit of exercise, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not enough to look after your health, your dodgy back and your rapidly decreasing driving distance.

You’ve got to do more if the game we all love is part of your future. Don’t give into the excuse of “this is just my body getting old and worn”.

Now is your opportunity to be proactive, to talk to a coach and to get stronger, fitter and healthier! You guarantee to add longevity to your golfing days!

Saunton Golf Club — East Course.

Following on from the West Course, a few more from my recent visit to Saunton.

The East is the higher-ranked of the two and a true championship test. A naturally laid-out links course that winds its way through the dunes, with plenty of strong holes and some particularly good par 3s.

When the wind picks up, it becomes a real test of golf, but there’s something about the natural feel of the course and the way it sits amongst the dunes that makes it such an enjoyable course to photograph.

And finishing the round with the 18th coming back towards the clubhouse is a pretty special way to finish. Great memories of winning my match on this green last time I played here!

You’ve spent £500 on a new driver. What have you spent on the body swinging it?

And by that I mean investment in time and money to swing better. Not the investment in the additional calories in the 19th. 🤣

If you’re like me, you’re competitive. Doesn’t matter what age you are, you want to go out there and shoot your best.

But all the top kit in the world is no good if you can’t move to use it.

Treat your body like an athlete does and you’ll stay competitive for a lot longer.

𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗼.𝟭. 👑

The 23-year-old has claimed the Men's European Amateur Order of Merit after a season packed with standout performances, highlighted by victory at the European Nations Cup in Sotogrande where he set a tournament record of -15 and helped England secure the team title by 14 shots.

Combined with runner-up finishes at both the Spanish Amateur Championship and Brabazon Trophy, a strong U.S. Amateur campaign, a top-15 finish on the DP World Tour's Nexo Championship as an amateur, and a memorable Walker Cup victory with GB&I, it's been an incredible year.

The Devon golfer also earns an EGA gold medal for the achievement, along with professional playing opportunities on the DP World Tour and HotelPlanner Tour in 2027. 👏
