POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

i gave a speech at my daddy’s funeral yesterday and wanted to share it here, as these are the only words i really have at the moment. ❤️‍🩹

someone called my dad a legend.

and that word really stuck with me.

because when I think about my dad, I think about how many people knew him. how many lives he crossed. How many people he left an impression on.

he was boisterous, had the prettiest smile and the cutest spray-bottle laugh. he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back.

but to me, he was my first believer. my strongest believer.

when I was younger, he had me convinced I was Alicia Keys. I don’t think I’ve hit a correct note to this day 😂 but he believed it.

that was my dad.

if i didn’t answer, he called again. and if I still didn’t answer, I’d get a voicemail:

“answer me. not now, but RIGHT NOW!”

and that’s why losing him hurts so much. we had more planned. more life to live.

dad, I know you were going to move in with dev, and I really believe we would have turned that shit up together. i wish i could’ve had every bit of that life with you, but somewhere in this grief, I’ve found some peace.

i don’t have to live the rest of my life without you. i just have to learn how to live with you differently. i know you’ll be there. hand on my shoulder. walking with me, Desi and my brothers. every step of the way.

so I don’t want today to just be goodbye.

i want us to keep telling your stories. keep laughing about the things he did. keep saying his name.

because my dad wasn’t dealt the easiest hand.

but look at what he did with what he had.

he never let it take his spirit.

he chose to love. he chose to show up. he chose to keep being himself.

that’s the mark he left on this world. it wasn’t through any big accomplishment or life goal but through love and light and the way he touched the hearts of so many.

Daddy, you were a legend.

not because everyone knew your name, but because everyone who knew you felt your presence.

and I’m so lucky I got to know you not just as the legend everyone else saw, but as my dad.

my first believer, my strongest believer. rest easy pops, i love you.

- your baby, forever 🩷

Athlete Spotlight: Devon ⭐️
Wrapped up a huge senior season at Coe College — leading the team in receiving yards and punching in 6 touchdowns, including two separate 2-TD games.

Every year, Devon’s game leveled up. He trusted the process, showed up, put in the work, and turned consistency into production. His strength, focus, and ability to make big plays when it counted made this season special.

He had the best cleats on the field this year, NO QUESTION. 🔥🎨

Proud of the growth. Proud of the grit. Proud of the athlete he’s become.
The future’s wide open for this guy. 🏈🔥

We had ourselves a fall…

This season had a little bit of everything — growth, grit, new faces, big wins and plenty of small moments that reminded me why I love what I do. From athletes grinding through their seasons, breakthroughs in the treatment room, and all the little behind-the-scenes moments that never see the front page.. fall showed up BIG this year.

Here’s a look back at some of my favorite moments, the moments that made the long days worth it, and reminded me of just how lucky I am to do this “life” thing, day in and day out.

Cheers to the season that pushed us forward, and the people who made it one for the books. Love and miss you, Patches. 🤍
