This is the final week to see "Heavenly Hoodoo Voodoo," on view through September 30.

If you haven’t visited yet, please stop by to see the latest works by Jason McLean and Devon Marinac, as well as new to the gallery, Carri Skoczek and her voodoo dolls. We’ve loved having this exhibition up and sharing it with you.

This is also the final week to apply for our open call, "Around, Above, Below." The exhibition will open with a reception on October 15 from 6 - 8 PM.

Last chance to view "The Outsiders" at the gallery. Don't miss it! Closes this Saturday 5 pm.

Featuring works by Luc Giard, Anick Langelier, Marc Leduc, Devon Marinac, James Kirkpatrick and Fruit Stains.

Outsider art is closely linked to the term Art Brut - literally "raw art" - coined by French artist Jean Dubuffet to describe works created outside the reach of academic training or cultural institutions. Art Brut often arises in solitude, driven by an irgent need to express, rather than a desire to impress. These creations may carry a naive quality, but often reveal an astonishing intensity, often tapping into universal emotions with a raw immediacy that trained artists sometimes struggle to capture.

Highlighting Devon Marinac's work in our present exhibition "THE OUTSIDERS" at the gallery.

Marinac's practise involves drawing, collage, painting, assemblage, sculpture and bookmaking, often in combination. His work possesses a strong graphic sensibility through a highly detailed figurative style, which translates and mutates according to the medium being used. While the images are often fantastical, the pieces are nevertheless rooted in day-to-day locales, observations and autobiography.

Marinac's work has been published in BOMB Magazine and has been exhibited throughout Canada and presently in New York City.

Pop by the gallery this weekend and check out "THE OUTSIDERS", in collaboration with Galerie Robert Poulin.

Outsider art is closely linked to the term Art Brut- literally "raw art"- coined by French artist Jean Dubuffet to describe works created outside the reach of academic training or cultural institutions. ART Brut often arises in solitude, driven by an urgent need to express, rather than a desire to impress. These creations may carry a naive quality, but often reveal an astonishing intensity, often tapping into universal emotions with a raw immediacy that trained artists sometimes struggle to capture.

The exhibition features works by Marc Leduc, Anick Langelier, Luc Giard, Devon Marinac, Fruit Stains and James Kirkpatrick.

This is not a typical gallery exhibition, it will most definitely engage you and provoke. Come experience these fascinating works in person.

What an amazing opening yesterday for our PRESENT TENSE exhibition highlighting a select work(or two) from each of our gallery artists. It was so nice to have 10 of our Ontario based artists present at the opening. Unfortunately the other 15 gallery artists are from west coast to east coast Canada, and challenging for them to come in for a day. But they were here in spirit with their fantastic works installed in the gallery. We missed them!. So nice to have our artists together and thank you to our guests for making it a really special day.

Exhibition runs until Mar. 7. Many amazing and engaging artworks to be enjoyed at the gallery this Feb. Please join us!
