Every Con I attend, I try to find to my generation hidden in the crowd walking the aisle. We remenisce about our childhood and are elated when we find shared adventures discovered on the screens of our youth.
Recently I summoned 4 ancient Egyptian Guardians from our past and the core memories were unlocked across my feed.
Debuting said art print this past weekend was sweet. Seeing fans re-awakened when they pull the art piece from the crates and see them become kids again had me smiling.
"I remember being late to school because this show was on!", An attendee laughs
Then my neighbor reintroduced himself as he overheard #MummiesAlive drop into conversation.
I was totally unaware that at the table to my left, was the director of the show! An amazing full circle moment for me. Talked my wife's ear off about how crazy that for half the day, I was sitting next to the man that brought the show together and made it all happen.
It was an absolute pleasure sharing stories with Seth and his daughter, an amazing artist, about getting started/working in the industry, raising kids, music, and convention life. Seth has 30 years in the industry. From directing "8 crazy nights" to great episodes of "family guy", "The Looney Tunes Show", "Mummies Alive" and even directing and producing the pilot for an animated series for one of my favorite video games, "Kingdom Hearts"🗝
He is currently working on book 3 of his own series, "NeverWonderLand" ( a dark, gothic reimagining of Alice in Wonderland )
Shoutout to Mr.Kearsley for blessing me with his two books🙏🏽 !! Enjoying the read.🫡

Also, it made my heart happy seeing a father-daughter duo hitting the circuit and sharing the con experience. From Minecraft to artist alley.✊🏽

Please do me a favor and follow @sethkearsley & @devos_doodles !!

#csssa photo dump!!!
I genuinely love every single friend I made here so much. Being in this program meant way more to me than it’s even possible to put in words. I didn’t just learn how to be a better artist, I was surrounded by a community of like-minded weirdos who share similar interests and passions. I’ve met some of the kindest, funniest, and coolest people I think I will ever meet.

I know you guys are going to see this post and just know I love and care for you all so much. I hope we will continue being friends even now that CSSSA is over!

When your hair is this long, trusting someone with the scissors is no small thing ✂️
Our girl @jaimiebransonhair gave Dev the most beautiful refresh — keeping her signature length while adding movement, shape, and healthy ends. We’re still swooning over these luscious locks.
A big thank you to the incredibly talented illustrator @devos_doodles for trusting us with your gorgeous hair 💛
