It’s not lost on me that while grieving the loss of my father and navigating some of life’s most personal transitions, I found safety in a recording studio in Baltimore.💜

@silentk.productions @devrockmx, and @jimmi3t, each shaped by their own truth and lived experience, were divinely✨ placed at a time when I needed them most. They made room for me to be vulnerable and reminded me that my voice was worth hearing.

At @mri.studios , I recorded That Part! What Some Know but Won’t Tell You About Motherhood. My most personal thoughts, in my own voice, in my own city.

These are men of integrity who have poured into Baltimore’s youth through music, media, and digital production. And as MRI prepares to leave its current space, I’m asking you to support them.✊🏾

I don’t have millions💰. If I did, there are so many things I would change and so many people I would support.

But what I do have is a voice.🗣️

🔸And with the voice I have, I’m asking you to support people who have used theirs to make a difference. Give what you can. Share their fundraiser. Help them keep going.🔸

That part. 🖤

October has been a meaningful month for us.
For five years, @mri.studios has been more than a physical space. It has been a home for artists, creatives, young people, musicians, poets, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and community members to gather, create, learn, and grow.
And now, we’re preparing to turn the page.
October will be our last full month in this location.
After dealing with recurring leaks and ongoing building issues, we’ve made the difficult decision to leave this space and begin the search for a new home for MRI Studios. While saying goodbye is never easy, we’re choosing to look ahead with excitement, gratitude, and faith in what comes next.
But we need our community with us in order to transition. We are accepting all donations at the link in our bio.

Thank you @breanarosstv @wbaltv11
