Here at Team Yudin we use Velocity Based Training (VBT) in our workouts. It allows us to measure how fast an athlete is moving the weight instead of just guessing how hard a set is.

The goal isn’t just to lift more weight. We want the athletes to move with good technique, produce force, and train at the right intensity for what we’re trying to improve that day.

VBT gives us real-time feedback. We can see when an athlete is moving the weight faster, getting stronger, or when fatigue is starting to affect performance. That helps us make better decisions on weight and volume instead of guessing or following a percentage on a sheet.

At the end of the day, it’s another tool we use to make sure we’re training smarter, getting better, and developing our athletes the right way.
