Whew! Finally found a slow moment to give my proper send off to Addams Family…
First spooky musical: ✅ first time playing a ghost: ✅ And man did I have a blast with our Addams Family! It was such a great time getting to reconnect with family and friends while forging new friendships along the way. In retrospect, my experience with a community theatre production of such a silly musical with a lot of heart ended up being a much more profound experience and milestone than I expected. I know realize that from the very beginning of my time with this production, that I had entered a season of “stepping-back,” and while we may view that term as inherently negative with its ties to counter-productivity. In this case it was quite the opposite for me. This was a very much needed descent from the chaotic storm of constant pursuit that performance artists more often than not find themselves in. The storm of “Am I ready for my next job?” “Is there even going to be a next job for me?” And of course the age old imposter syndrome speaking up: “Am I good enough anymore?” “…Was I EVER good enough? …Or was it all just a fluke? A series of dumb luck?” “How much longer do I have before my window closes?” …This experience was me finding my footing again, taking in that breath before continuing my climb… And I couldn’t ask for a better cast and crew to have by my side for this experience! They truly made this show something special in many more ways than one. I wish us only the best as we continue on, each of us “embracing our unknowns, and moving toward our darknesses.” My love for this group -as Gomez Addams puts- “triumphs… at last-“

After COVID-19 is over, I better NEVER hear anyone trash "low end" workers again. Those people at the grocery store, the Dollar General workers, those fast food workers, the Walmart employees, those people you didn't even think deserved to have a wage to survive on? They're some of the ones currently carrying the country through this mess, making sure you and your families have food and essentials to survive on, risking their health to help yours. And most won't even have the money to go to the doctor if they get sick. I better NEVER see someone be unappreciative or dismissive of them again!

We say thank you!! Pray for our country and the world! And of course- thank a healthcare worker when you see them! We sacrifice leaving our families to be there for others! To all my fellow healthcare workers and those working businesses to provide food, supplies, etc... we appreciate you! Blessings!
