911 memorial at Lincoln Center with my dear friend @deyanira.ast performing.

Not part of Liquid Movement but I thought this memorial was important enough it had to be shared.

The above digital print of my dear friend Deya was taken at our most recent workshop. The camera I used was an Arcaswiss View Camera, essentially a leather bag with a lens. You don’t need a fancy camera to take a good picture.

Camera: Arcaswiss - M Line
Lens: Schneider 58mm Super Angulon XL @ f/11
Digital back: Hasselblad 50 mp
Lighting: Profoto
Printer: Epson P5000
Medium: Epson Exhibition Canvas Satin 16inx20in

People ask me how I attract dancers for my work. Answer, prints, prints, prints.

Dancers visit each other, see my prints hanging on the wall and next thing, my phone is ringing. “Hello Bennett, I’m Sarah’s friend Jean, I love the prints you did of her and I’d love prints like that of me.”

Dancers gift prints to their loved ones. Parents of one of my favorite dancer has a triptych from our Ballerina series hanging in their home.

Let’s face it, real photographers produce print worthy work, frame it and hang it. If you’re still just posting on the internet, you’re a content creator not a photographer.
See you at the workshop.
