FALL RETREAT 2026 :)

I’ve known about fall for months now and KNEW the Lord wanted me there, but I was just praying for him to make a way for me to be able to afford to go - in which he did. Lately there has just been a heaviness on my heart and I didn’t know why. Thoughts rushing in telling me I’m not enough, I’m not praying enough, I’m not worthy enough of this leadership position I’m in, I’m not worshipping correctly, etc. I knew my heart posture was pure, but ofc the enemy wants to mess with my mind. The moment I got to fall retreat I knew that He was gonna reveal many things. This summer has been about surrendering and lately that has been my prayer to Him, a prayer of just complete surrender. There so many things on my heart that only the Lord knows. He knows my heart, my cries, everything because he’s there through it all. So much worship and praise that just goes unto him because he’s WORTHY of it all. The 2nd day we talked about 3 types of surrender and the one that stuck out to me was surrender of religiosity. I didn’t realize at the moment during the teaching that he wanted me to surrender that part of my life until a few hours later while I talking to one of my friends. Suddenly while talking I had the urge to spend time with him in complete solitude. So I found a place and sat there in his presence and my heaviness became lighter and then when I get to the last session of the night He hit HOME. I prayed to the Lord during that solitude time to use me as his vessel and praise to him I was able to pray for 3 of my friends, but also be vulnerable and go up to my mentor, mama Courtney, during the alter and she was able to pray for me and then again ran into another amazing campus missionary, Tio Nik, and he was able to talk to me and give a word that impacted my heart and leaving fall retreat I feel SO much lighter and everything that I came in with has been completely surrender and given to him. I’m walking out with a Joy that truly can only be given by him, and walking in FULL surrender. ALWAYS surrender. Jesus love YOU!

It is always an honor to celebrate and do life with you, Kam. I’m so grateful for the Lord’s divine strategy. I am so grateful that I get to experience this kind of love 💕

I was telling a friend recently that to be known is to be loved, and to be loved is to be known… and I don’t think I’ve ever felt that more deeply than I do right now. This past year, and especially this weekend, I have felt so fully seen.

Saturday felt like a glimpse of heaven…intentional, joyful, and overflowing with love. The way you all chose to celebrate me, the way you made space for me in the middle of your Easter weekend… that kind of love is gentle and powerful all at once. It’s not small. It’s sacred.

I’m surrounded by people who love like Jesus—who uplift, encourage, and pour out goodness so freely. God-fearing, fruit-bearing, steady, and kind. I feel at home in a way I didn’t know I was missing; through you all, through DUCC, and through Him.

And I will never get over the way my best friend Valerie and my husband love me. They didn’t just plan a surprise birthday…they created something that felt like stepping into my own heart. Every detail, every moment… it all said, we know you. 🥹

It was the kind of day you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

I’m just so aware of it all right now…the love, the care, the intentionality. It feels like a gift I didn’t earn, just get to receive.

So I’m holding it close… and thanking God for letting me live inside of it. 💕💕💕

Been taking some time to reflect on some 2026 highlights before we are about to have a lot of changes…

From hosting a national conference with thousands of students from around the world, to leadership meetings on embassy row…
From turning our basement into a leadership development hub (and party space 😄), to celebrating birthdays and babies…
From the coolest basketball suite nights, to intentional discipleship moments with my kids…
From large groups with dozen of new students to training up a new group of campus missionaries…

All I can say is: I’m beyond blessed.

And we’re only two months in…
The best is yet to come. 🙌
