There’s something about putting a video like this together that takes you right back. 🎥📸 Going through these moments—the speed, the battles, the energy, the people, and everything happening between the racing—has me reminiscing on just how special it was to be there capturing it all. But more than anything, it has me already excited for the next go around. Because when the wheels start rolling, the racing gets fast, and those moments start happening again… I’ll definitely be there. Camera in hand, chasing the action and freezing little pieces of time that we’ll be able to look back on long after the race is over. Until the next one. 🏁📸 Moments happen fast. Memories last forever.

And just like that, the Memorial Park Crit Series comes to a close. 📸🚴‍♂️ This past Wednesday was the final race, and there’s definitely something bittersweet about knowing it’s over. Over the course of this series, I met some truly amazing people, witnessed some incredible racing, and was lucky enough to capture moments that I hope will mean just as much to the riders years from now as they do today. There’s something special about standing behind the lens at a race. Everything happens so fast—the speed, the suffering, the competitiveness, the celebrations, the friendships, and the camaraderie. In the moment, it can all feel like a blur. But that’s one of the things I love most about photography. For a fraction of a second, I get to stop time. Years from now, the races might blend together. The results might be forgotten. But a photograph can bring you right back—to the people you were with, the bike you were riding, the pain in your legs, the smile after the finish, and exactly how that moment felt. Anytime I get to spend even a little time behind my camera, I feel incredibly blessed. Photography has become so much more to me than simply taking pictures. It’s about preserving pieces of people’s lives and giving them something they can hold onto long after the moment itself has passed. To everyone I met, photographed, laughed with, and got to know throughout this series—thank you for allowing me to capture a small piece of your story. The racing may have come to an end, but these moments don’t have to. That’s the beauty of photography. Until next time. 📸🏁

MPC — Two Seasons. Eight Races. One Hell of a Ride. 🏁 @memorialparkcritseries Crit season is officially over. Season 1 Overall Champion 🏆 Season 2 — 4th Overall. But the results only tell a small part of the story. People see the races. The speed. The attacks. The finish line. What they don’t see are the 5 AM alarms, the late-night training sessions, the endless intervals, the sweat, the suffering, the laughs, the sacrifices, and the thousands of watts left out on that course. Eight races where we gave everything we had. To my coach @larsbetancourt thank you for every training session, every piece of advice, and for constantly pushing me to become a better rider. To my @dfsracingteam teammates, thank you for the battles, the support, the teamwork, and for always having my back. To my brother @mikerouge thank you for being there. Your support means more than you know. To the organizers @southernelite_cycling volunteers, photographers who captured these moments throughout the season. You guys tell the story of racing in a way words never could. 📸 🙏🏽 @digitalknightproductions @hardcorvtm @most_epic_media Thank you to my sponsors @qadgroup @driveawayautosoficial Huge thank you to all the sponsors who made this series possible and every racer who lined up and made these nights special, thank you. You created something Houston cycling should be proud of. And above all, thank you God for being with me through every mile. 🙏🏽 I came into these crits wanting to race hard. I leave stronger, smarter, humbled, and hungrier. Some people will never understand why we love this sport so much. Maybe they don’t have to. There’s something about suffering together, racing on the limit, laughing afterward, and coming back the next week ready to do it all over again. You either feel it… or you don’t. Two seasons. Eight crits. One championship. A lot of memories. Until the next start line. 🤙🏽🏁 • • #houstoncycling #memorialparkcrit #turnupthecrit #critracing

There’s something special about the Memorial Park Crits that I always try to capture—the speed, the intensity, the competitiveness…but also everything happening in between. The smiles before the start. The battles through the corners. Friends pushing each other lap after lap. The handshakes, laughs, and stories afterward. Competition and camaraderie all wrapped into one night of racing. It’s definitely a bummer knowing the series is coming to an end. These nights seem to fly by, and before you know it, another summer of racing is almost in the books. But that’s also why I love photography so much. The races end. The crowds go home. The course gets quiet. But the moments we capture get to live forever. I’m grateful I get to stand on the other side of the lens and freeze a little piece of what makes the Memorial Park Crits so special. 📸🚴‍♂️ The racing may be temporary. The memories don’t have to be.
