BSG and Bucknell Panhellenic will be hosting Here For You in Hislop Auditorium to speak about mental health tomorrow night at 7 pm in honor of Suicide Prevention Month! This is a great opportunity for anyone to come and learn and ask questions about mental health! We hope to see you there!

With recruitment quickly approaching, I want to talk about my experience with greek life and panhellenic. Being a member of Delta Gamma has allowed me to meet new people, get more involved in the Bucknell & Lewisburg communities, and grow in my leadership skills. Most importantly though, it has consistently been a place where I feel like I belong.

Throughout each school year, we host events to raise money and awareness for our philanthropy, Service for Sight. Although it comes with hard work and lots of planning, experiencing Anchor Slam and Anchor Splash have been some of my favorite memories with DG. It started with being apart of the anchor week committee my sophomore year, allowing me to really see the behind the scenes of putting on small and large-scale events. On the actual event day, my roles have included being a cheerleader or coach for a competing team in the tournament or water games. DG Seniors are encouraged to make teams for the events, and I can't wait to experience these traditions from a different perspective this year 🎟️🏊🏼‍♀️🏀

Panhellenic also offers opportunities to support our broader Bucknell and Lewisburg communities, including volunteering at the local children's museum and raising money to plant trees downtown. These are just a few examples of the efforts Panhellenic makes to bring a positive light to Greek Life and give back to the places that bring us together 🫂

Hi everyone! My name is Orlaith Buckley and I am VP of membership for @dgbucknell

As exciting as recruitment can be, it can also feel a little intimidating. I remember going into the process feeling nervous and unsure of what to expect. While I knew I wanted to find a community where I could truly belong, I never could have imagined how much the chapter I chose would impact my college experience.

For me, that place was Delta Gamma. From the moment I walked into DG, I felt comfortable because the conversations felt genuine, the women were welcoming, and it was clear how much they cared about one another and about this chapter. There was a sense of community that immediately stood out to me, and I remember thinking that these were the kinds of friendships I wanted to be surrounded by throughout college. Since joining, Delta Gamma has become one of the most meaningful parts of my time at Bucknell. The friendships I’ve built here are ones I know will last a lifetime.

Whether it’s grabbing dinner, studying in the library, or simply spending time together, being around my sisters instantly makes my day better. Knowing that I always have a group of women who support me, encourage me, and celebrate both my successes and challenges has made Bucknell feel like home. Looking back, recruitment was the beginning of so many incredible memories, friendships, and opportunities for growth. Delta Gamma has helped me become more confident, pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone, and introduced me to some of the most genuine people.

As you go through recruitment, trust yourself and enjoy the process. The place where you’re meant to be will feel right, and the connections you make along the way are what matter most. I am so excited to meet all of you this fall and share why Delta Gamma has become such a special part of my life!
