Honestly I don’t know whether it’s peri-menopausal brain fog or the fact I’ve read a couple more books since reading Writers & Lovers but I couldn’t tell you a single thing about it other than I know I enjoyed the story and gave it 4 stars on my Goodreads 🙈 I hand on heart haven’t got the foggiest about a single character or what it was about and the fact I only finished it about 10 days ago does worry my befuzzled brain but it is what it is 🤪

I’ve realised if I don’t write a review straight away (or if I don’t absolutely love it) and let other characters from the next book enter my mind then there’s no chance of remembering so here’s my quick review:
Yeh, pretty sure I enjoyed this one 🤔😂

Anyone else get like this or just me?! 🤪😝

🎀 Candy Cane Book Stack ♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️

I tried to make this a fully Christmassy stack… but it turns out I barely own any Christmas books with white spines! Who knew? 😂📚✨

Thank you to the lovely Laura @travelling_pageturner for tagging me in this fun #candycanestack challenge — I absolutely loved putting this stack together. 🎅📖

I've tagged some of you if you feel like joining in.

💭🎄 Have you got your Christmas tree and decorations up yet?
We’re starting ours this weekend, though I’m shocked by how many neighbours already have theirs twinkling away. Usually we’re early birds… did I miss a memo this year? 🤭✨

🍂☕ Match Your Mug Monday ☕🍂

Pumpkins, autumn hues, cosy reads – and of course a mug of hot chocolate to top it all off. 🍫✨ My pumpkin mug is twinning perfectly with today’s little fall stack and pumpkins.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. This weekend we were over in Liverpool celebrating my brother-in-law’s 60th and my father-in-law’s birthday. 🎉 We had such a lovely time catching up with family – though it felt very strange without our son there! I think it’s the first time we’ve ever been since he was born, and it really did feel like a milestone. 💛

Back home now and easing into the week the best way I know how: books, blankets, fairy lights, and a rich hot chocolate in my favourite seasonal mug.

💭 Do you have a go-to cosy drink for autumn days and evenings? 🍁📚

I've tagged a few of you if you feel like joining in, no pressure 😘

Ok so I deleted last nights reveal reel of my latest purchases because I was actually mortified at how shockingly shite it was so I’ve gone back to a good ol’ picture which is much more suited to my 41yr old technical skills, or lack of 🤪

These were bought on a whim during a reading slump and I’m not mad about it - I reckon they’ll all be fab reads 🥰

What one shall I start with??

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓪𝓵𝓽 𝓟𝓪𝓽𝓱 By raynor.winn

What an extraordinary journey both physically and mentally for Raynor & her husband Moth. After loosing their home and livelihood which left them homeless and penniless then finding out Moth had a rare degenerative condition they took the brave decision to pack a rucksack each and just walk, walk and walk some more finding the beauty in their surroundings and each other 💕 I really enjoyed this and looking forward to watching the film of it.

Book Description
Between the devil and the deep blue sea…

Viking treasure is discovered beneath the icy waters of the North Sea, and local historian Doctor Anna Taylor is called in to help catalogue the most exciting hoard in living memory But when a shipwreck diver washes up dead, she’s soon out of her depth. Luckily, she knows just the person to call…

When DCI Ryan arrives at the picturesque fishing town of Seahouses, he's faced with an impenetrable wall of secrets and lies. As he juggles marine archaeology and the cutthroat world of shipwreck diving, another murder blows the case wide open. 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕃𝕚𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕣𝕪
By Bella Osborne @bellaosborneauthor

Book Description
Teenager Tom has always blended into the background of life. After a row with his dad and facing an unhappy future at the dog food factory, he escapes to the library.

Pensioner Maggie has been happily alone with her beloved novels for ten years - at least, that's what she tells herself.

When they meet, they recognise something in each other that will change both their lives forever.

Then the library comes under threat of closure, and they must join forces to prove that it's not just about books - it's the heart of their community.

They are determined to save it - because some things are worth fighting for.

My Thoughts
This is a lovely story that entwines the love and support of a stranger at the right time in a young boys life, where there are moments of darkness and uncertainty there is lemon drizzle cake and baby lambs and puppies to lighten the current situation and distract.
Maggies relationship with Tom is heartwarming and full of love, which is just what Tom needs as he battles through his GCSEs and the reality of his dad's alcohol problem.
Whilst they help each other through decision-making their pathways through life, they also fight to save the local library, which is the heart of the community.

It's ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!🤓
