As I prepare for TooManyGames(cosplay lineup coming soon!), I wanted to reflect on my favorite event from Zenkaikon this year, the annual Scott Pilgrim Cosplay Photoshoot! It’s always amazing to see the turnout we get each year, and I’m hoping we break double digits next year! Thank you all to everyone for coming out, and I cannot wait to see yall next year!

Also, I didn’t get everyone’s social, so if you see yourself, please tag yourself!!

Also also, a MASSIVE thank you to @mak.sherrid for helping with the photos, you absolutely killed it!! Go show their page some love!

❄️ℍ𝕠𝕝𝕞𝕒𝕥 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟛❄️ (12/20/23 - 12/22/23)

A lot happened.. I made a lot of good memories during my time at Holmat. I’ll start off from the very beginning I guess!!

I left Tuesday night and flew into the morning of Holmat at 5 AM. I’ve never flown by myself before and haven’t gone out of state in YEARS, so it was super nerve wracking. What really brought my anxiety up was meeting my online friends for the first time ever. The people who stuck by my side, texted me almost daily, played video games with, and the people who are the lovely players of my campaign I DM. Amongst those friends is a friend I’ve had for a decade, and someone who I love so dearly, so much. Not only is she my long time friend, but my partner, my love.

When I got out of the car and walked towards the hotel struggling with my luggage, she stood there. I didn’t know what I expected, but she opened her arms and called me in for a hug. That was the thing I needed the most, to be able to finally touch her and see her in person. It hit me so hard emotionally being unable to meet her in person for a long time, but I finally did it. After so long I could express how much I love her in person! I cried like an idiot..and I was a nervous wreck the next couple of days..but I think I handled it pretty well. Cosplaying adokoga was so peak embarrassment for me but in a good way. I joked about Min cosplaying Adonis way early on like a couple years ago but it’s real now. She cosplayed Adonis. AND SHE LOOKS SO HANDSOME AAAAAAAHHHAAAAAA!!!! Had to restrain myself from wanting to keep holding her hand..

Each day of holmat went well! The highlight for me personally was idolfes but also being able to just casually walk around with my buddies! I do regret not being able to record/take more photos but honestly this is the most I’ve ever taken for a con because I’m just horrible with taking pics for any event in general. I wish work would’ve let me off longer so I could’ve spent more time with them. I’m going to cherish these moments dearly. One of the key moments that made my year and mood better.

Ending it here cuz IG won’t let me type more than this >:(
BOOOOO IG‼️

holmat 2023 FINISHED!!! I am fucking exhausted truth be told and am sad to see the Marriott go, but im happy I got to party it up one last time :] special thanks to @almond_cos, my Etihw on Sunday as well as long time friend, it was actually our first time meeting irl but we did hotel together and it was super fun. If I tagged you in the posts at the end, its because I had a lot of fun hanging with you but unfortunately I didn’t take a lot of photos at this con due to anxiety, but I still wanted to tag you 😭 I also know im missing a few tags, so know if we hung out over this week, it was a tonne of fun and it was awesome. My next con probably won’t be for a pretty long time as I prepare for a university research trip to South Korea (as well as just… trying to focus on school more as I get very close to graduation), so im happy I was able to really kick back and relax like this before the start of the new semester. luv’d holmat!
