SIZE DOESN’T DEFINE YOU. Growing up as a chubby girl in a typical African home, I struggled to accept that I would never be “slim”. Even with 3 sisters, we were all different shapes and sizes. I heard the comments. They heard theirs too. Today, a lot of women are still being defined by their size. By men. And sadly, by other women. This project is my way of saying: ENOUGH. Chapter 25❤️ A whole quarter of a century. If someone had told the 18years old me 🥲that I’d be here today, standing tall through everything life has thrown at me, I probably wouldn’t have believed them. I’ve cried silent tears that no one knew about. I’ve questioned myself. I’ve waited. I’ve prayed🥺 This year, I’m not celebrating perfection🥰I’m celebrating survival. ❤️I’m celebrating every version of me that refused to give up, even when giving up seemed easier!😊 To the girl I’ve been, Oyindamola😍 Thank you for being brave when you were scared. Thank you for choosing hope when nothing made sense. Thank you for carrying dreams that felt too heavy. Last week, I had the opportunity to train a group of business owners on Data Analysis through a session hosted by The Set Apart Circle in partnership with Astute Analytics. My goal wasn't to impress anyone with technical terms. It was to help people see that data doesn't have to be intimidating. It just needs to be explained in a way that makes sense. Seeing the feedback afterward reminded me why I love teaching. Watching concepts click for people will always be my favorite part.
