When Lara first spoke to us about Aala Daou El Baher, she spoke about the sea. About how, after being diagnosed with cancer, she kept finding her way back to it. During one of the most vulnerable chapters of her life, it became a place of silence, surrender, and somehow, of strength. A place where fear could soften and hope could quietly return.

From those moments, this collection was born.

A story of rebirth, transformation, and the invisible threads that continue to bind us to the people we love. Some lights never truly leave us, they simply become part of the wind, the waves, and the memories we carry forward. And, quietly woven through it all, was the light of Aimee Daou, whose spirit continues to move with the sea.

Bringing this story to life at Bolero Bloom, by the sea itself, felt less like hosting a fashion performance and more like witnessing something deeply human unfold before us.

This work could never have existed without the extraordinary artists who poured themselves into it.

Some people create music, Anou created a world ✨

Joining Aala Daou El Baher midway through its creation, he embraced the project with remarkable generosity, sensitivity, and commitment. Despite the challenges and ever-evolving nature of the work, he gave his all to help shape its emotional landscape.

From the first breath to the final wave, his compositions carried the story through its many transformations, moving effortlessly between vulnerability and strength, grief and hope, silence and release.

His music became the emotional heartbeat of Aala Daou El Baher. It carried the audience through the live performance, gave voice to @eliefahed ’s narrative film, and accompanied the documentary journey captured by @notsocivilised , allowing the story to resonate far beyond a single moment or medium.

Thank you, @itsanouworld , for sharing your talent so generously and for creating a soundscape that allowed this story to be felt as deeply as it was seen.

Dia Daher is a passionate dancer who has been connected to movement her entire life. She trains and practices dance professionally, developing her skills across multiple styles and continuously evolving as an artist. Actively working in the dance field, she is equally dedicated to teaching, finding fulfillment in guiding others and witnessing their growth.
