Packsaddle Covered Bridge in Somerset County Pa 🍁 10.2024.

Packsaddle Covered Bridge (which is known as Doc Miller Covered Bridge in some sources) was built in 1870 by a builder that has been sadly lost to time. At 48 feet long, it is the shortest of the 10 covered bridges in Somerset County, PA. However, this isn’t a bridge you visit because of its immense length.

Pulling up to Packsaddle Covered Bridge, you’ll instantly notice its idyllic setting as it crosses Brush Creek in a narrow valley that’s surrounded by woodland. In fact, even without the waterfall, this is an incredible spot to visit and certainly one of the most beautiful covered bridges in the region. (Credit @uncoveringpa )

Had the best time hosting this girls weekend pizza class 🍕 Amazing group, great energy, and a whole lot of laughter.

And I have to give a special shoutout to my very important sous chefs… who absolutely stole the show (and most of the pepperoni 😂).

Grateful for nights like this- good food, good people, and memories that stick.

My pizza classes are an elevated, feel-good experience that are relaxed, interactive, and designed to feel like a night in with friends who just happen to be learning how to make incredible pizza. Expect real culinary knowledge without the stiffness, plenty of laughter, and an atmosphere that feels more like a beautifully hosted gathering than a traditional class.

Each experience is thoughtfully customized to suit your style- whether that’s a chic girls’ night, a celebration, or an intimate in-home culinary experience. From ingredient selection to final bake, every detail is curated to feel personal, effortless, and a little indulgent.

This pizza making class was reimagined for women who appreciate great food, great company, and a beautifully designed experience.

The diamond center of Ligonier glistens on a winters night ❄️ 1.2026.

“Ligonier, Pennsylvania, located at the intersection of Routes 30 & 711 in Westmoreland County, is separated from the outside world by two massive, but not spectacular mountains. Laurel Mountain to the east and Chestnut Ridge to the west make Ligonier Valley a clearly defined entity; the two mountains permit very few roadways so that the Valley, in effect, is protected by two great walls, ten miles apart and about twenty-five long.

Historic Ligonier Valley is the home of Fort Ligonier, Linn Run State Park, Story Book Forest, Idlewild Park and Compass Inn. Quaint shops create a turn-of-the-century atmosphere around the Diamond which features a charming Bandstand that has come to symbolize Ligonier.

Ligonier Valley has been a source of constant attraction for many years. There is much to see and do in our midst or we offer a tranquil respite from the fast-paced tempo of living today.” Borrowed from @visitligonier

I’m not saying escaping to a cozy A-frame in the @go_laurelhighlands solved all my problems… but wow did it help.

This cabin is the perfect weekend reset — tucked into one of the prettiest corners of Pennsylvania, close to ski resorts, cross-country trails, scenic hikes, great restaurants, and the cutest little town of Ligonier for wandering around. It’s one of those places where you actually slow down for a minute and remember what relaxing feels like.

If you’ve been craving a quick escape without going far, this is your sign.
