Forms in Residence in Knokke 🤟

A crazy 1930s house facing the North Sea, almost untouched, filled for a few weeks with work from different generations and different friends.

I brought a few pieces into the mix. No white walls, no gallery setup. They just had to find their place between the architecture, the art and everything already living inside this house.

Very happy to be part of this one with Julie & Olivia Saverys.

Tonight. Forms in Residence opens at Villa Westhinder, right on the dunes in Knokke.

This is a house, not a gallery, and that’s the whole point. My In Hale coffee table in Giallo Siena mosaic, sits low in the room with a sea view straight through the window, dune grass and a container ship passing on the horizon. Around it, the house does what it’s always done, terrazzo floors, curved staircases, a mood already in place long before any of us brought work in.

In collaboration with Julie & Olivia Saverys, who know exactly how to let a space like this breathe instead of dressing it up.

Open through August 16th. Weekends, just walk in. Weekdays, by appointment through raimonda@objectswithnarratives.com

_ Objects With Narratives | BXL

A few weeks ago we visited the @objectswithnarratives gallery in Brussels before their move to a new space in Antwerp. Seeing some of our favorite designers’ work firsthand in such an incredible space was truly a privilege. Additionally, we were lucky to be there in time to see @manuelbano solo show featuring a selection of his incredible recycled copper works. Can’t wait to see the new space. Thank you @dianaa.torres for your time and for showing us around this stunning space. 🤍

Within the framework of Mexico City Art Week, Objects With Narratives presents a curated guide featuring different experiences with artists based in Mexico City and leading figures in local design. Throughout the week, we will hold various events, such as guided studio visits and private events with Manuel Bano, Hector Esrawe, ERM Studio, and Ernesto Azcarate, as well as a visit to photographer Alejandro Ramirez Orozco’s first exhibition, where he will present a series of photographs of emblematic architectural spaces in Mexico. This guide was created to share a selection of our highlights in the city, from visiting design workshops and learning about the region’s craftsmanship to discovering the local culture through unique experiences.
