When I started dancing samba in 2008 I could not imagine the journey it would take me on, the people I would meet, the friendships made, and how it would transform me physically and mentally. When I dance I’m in a state of flow, of pure joy and freedom of expression.

Being in front of a camera can be intimidating no matter how many times you do it. I used to hate having pictures taken of me. To have someone point their lens at you up close, to be seen and exposed for all your flaws can be scary. The camera picks up everything we don’t see with the naked eye.

What sets a great photographer like Edward apart is not just technical knowledge (he has that too) but the ability to capture a person for who they really are. Not just the pretty posed version, but how they are feeling in that one second in time. Ed is a true master of his craft 🌟📸
