POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The last two days Alyssia and I completed the Carter Moriah Wildcat traverse, bagging six 4,000 footers over 19.94 miles of rugged White Mountain terrain. (Most of these peaks were repeats for her, but she was still game for the adventure!)

We split the hike up with an overnight stay at Carter Notch Hut, where the entire hut was filled with badass women (only one guy out of 18!). One of the highlights was meeting Whitney Pearson, who is thru-hiking all 48 New Hampshire 4,000-footers with her three daughters—ages 6, 3, and 1. We even got to hike a bit with them. Talk about inspiring!

Yesterday, with storms threatening, we pushed hard over the Carters and finished on Moriah. It was, without question, the hardest thing I’ve ever accomplished physically. Every mile tested me, but every view and every step was worth it.

I never take for granted that my body allows me to do adventures like this. I feel incredibly lucky.

Peaks 40 through 46 are now complete… only two left until I finish all 48! 🏔️💚

It was a girls day in the Ossipee Range. And what a day it was with laughter 😅 smiles 😁 and miles. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

Hiking the Gorilla Trail 🦍 felt like walking through the jungle 🌲🌳🦍 See me standing in the lush green vegetation? Yup, that's the trail.😂

13.5 miles, and four summits⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️ and a handful of annoying ticks.😝😜

Hike 49/54 9.19.20
Mt Caribou, So Oxford, Maine

The fall-like temperature on Saturday was perfect for a hike with my niece Heather and hubby Eric.

After hiking the presidental range for six weeks, this was a nice moderate hike with excellent views of the Carter Moriah range and many other peaks.

Marking this one was one of my favorite!

Farmers don't get many days off, but they can take a few hours to enjoy non farm activities. The weather was gorgeous and the animal tracks were numerous.
