Who knew something so intimidating would turn into the best years of my life. I wouldn’t trade these past 4 years for anything, Alabama made me the woman I am today. The people I’ve met and experiences I’ve had are something truly remarkable, I love this school and this town. Roll Tide ❤️🐘

Behind every child are the parents who taught them how to walk, how to stand back up after falling, and how to face life with strength and grace. The lessons, love, and sacrifices become part of who they are forever. Diane and John were exactly all of those things — and still are — to Chloe.

I was truly blessed to capture a moment that holds so much love, history, and meaning between them. Some photographs become more than images — they become memories you can feel!

This series on Laura Ingalls Wilder was remarkably special. Chloe, my niece, portrayed Laura Ingalls Wilder. She was perfect!

This reel presents images from my “Addams Family” series, originally conceived for the lobby display during the 2019 production of “The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy” at the New Horizon Community Theatre. I later decided to showcase these images in a gallery setting. In 2021, several of these images were exhibited in Dark Dreams at The Suffering Artist.

It was a given that my daughter, Lillian, would portray Morticia, as she is the only glamour ghoul that could bring the queen of darkness to life in a way that I
envisioned. And, with the love that she and her boyfriend (now husband), Steve, display towards each other, it only made sense that he portray Gomez. Already being in love, staying in full character the day of the shoot, the chemistry between the two was perfectly dreadful. Without their hearts, I could not have found a more perfect couple to portray the macabre lovebirds.

Cal, my husband, helped construct the table for Thing; he also portrayed the intolerable-to-the-eye character. Chloe Harrell, my niece, portrayed Wednesday Addams. Never breaking character, it is as if you can hear her say that life is “nice and eerie” through each photo. Scott York, portraying Pugsley, brought the devious young genius to life, and I could have not asked for a better portrayal of the eldest Addams child. Diane Harrell, my sister-in-law, perfecting Grandmama Addams’ hair, brought to life the paternal grandmother’s image. Bill Nixon, portraying Uncle Fester, went above and beyond, shaving his head completely bald. Being 6’8”, Matthew Fulghum was able to capture the essence of Lurch and bring his character from the screen to life. Creating Cousin Itt from human and synthetic hair, took several weeks to bring to life. I must say, he was the least demanding model of them all!

I’d like to thank Beverly Lock for the perfect shoot location and Laura Hull, Beth McAdory, and Windy DeCastro for their help with setup, costumes, and more.

I am making my final post about the L5P Halloween photo contest. I hope that this tradition will continue next year. This image was part of the 2024 L5P Halloween photo contest and is extremely meaningful to me. In this image, I portrayed Elphaba, my favorite witch from the musical Wicked. I had a fantastic time being green. This image required a significant amount of work, and I was fortunate to have a talented team of ladies working with me on this project. I will always treasure the memories of being Elphaba. The expertise of my team made me feel as though I was about to perform on stage at the Gershwin Theatre in NYC.
