UTCT 100KM FINISHER🏆: The reality of this past weekend has definitely not set in yet, in fact i think i am still in shock of how the weekend turned out. Many have asked the question of how was it? What were your toughest moments? Did you want to quit? and upon reflecting on what actually happened - Saturday truly was a happy day for me, of course there were low moments and concern of were we actually going to make it, but there was not one point where I wanted to quit because that was not an option for me or for my brothers running (I think we knew, we had to be strong for each other no matter where we were on the course. No matter what went right or wrong, we were going to finish and no one was getting left behind). I had three goals: The First, finish before it turned dark lol, The second was run with a full heart for my teammate Wes and Thirdly, no matter what happens have a smile on my face. Saturday turned out exactly as i hoped it would:) There is that famous saying that goes “ If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together” - that could not have been more true for me at UTCT 100km.

I am beyond humbled and overwhelmed by the support, encouragement and prayers made, not only leading up to the race but during and after as well. To everyone who supported from near and far, who sent messages and who lifted up prayers: God was faithful, Faithful beyond measure and more. How did i finish a 100km? Yes with lots of hard work and dedication, but most importantly because of God and because of the incredible community I am surround by. So a massive thank you to my brothers and an exceptional well frikken done, you okes are Ysters (Gents you know how grateful my heart is to you, how much a treasure you and the huge amount of respect I have for you). To the biggest and best support team: @flats2mountains @mustlovehills_runcrew @totalsportsruncrew @cf_r8d @kwaysa @disfrutasports @key_performance_studio @roy__davis @flatrockendurance Coach Erin you are a legend, thank you!!! And last but not least my paddles @gregalb_r_us Dad, just wow how blessed am i to call you dad (my dad). I love you to the moon and back❤️
