Some of my pics from @robinhoodimprov

Such a fantastic experience. I want to go back, and next time be a bigger part of it - make space for others, welcome more people to the community, and raise the quality.

Some of the best improv I’ve seen in a long while. Some of the best TEACHERS I’ve seen in a while.

So great. Still buzzing, three days later!

That’s a wrap. The first ever Robin Hood International Improv Festival concluded on Sunday after four days of incredible improv, inspiring workshops and new connections.
Thank you to everyone who taught, performed and supported live improvised theatre. Until next time ❤️

TL;DR Robin Hood Improv Festival was INCREDIBLE. Thank you to everyone who made it an insanely amazing weekend.

RHIIF 2022 welcomed two of my improv teams to their inaugural festival; Land of Giants and Seven With Wine. I had the pleasure of performing for one of the best audiences I’ve ever been in front of. The energy and love that the organizers created in that room was nothing short of magical. With the help of my talented teammates, we put on three absurdly good shows.

I was entrusted by the duo New Amsterdam to tech their format “Shuffle”. That was an adventure and a half - watching two talented improvisers rely on me to edit and inspire every scene was terrifying but I loved it! The show was a beautiful success.

The shows that I watched were phenomenal. Supportive, dynamic, energizing, emotional, and incredibly funny. Being surrounded by so much talent was a gift. My cheeks still hurt from all the laughter and smiling.

I took a workshop with my improv idol Andel Sudik, working on characters and presence onstage. I learned so much from her and the rest of the players in my ensemble. Within minutes she created an atmosphere where silliness and risk taking was effortless.

I met dozens of wonderful new people and reconnected with old friends from other festivals. This is my favorite part of festivals…the glorious people. We partied harder than I could have imagined and my idea to do the dirty dancing lift was very much supported (improvisers don’t know any other way 🤪).

Thank you everyone; the festival team, the teachers, the players, the venue staff, the audience, and of course, my stupidly wonderful teammates.

Special shout-out to Liam and Lloydie. Without you, this would never have happened. ❤️

Even after 4 days and a crazy amount of prep for the @robinhoodimprov festival, @lloydiejl is a star ⭐️ for taking time out of the after party (when he could just let his hair down) to teach diarmuidwebber some important facts he didn’t know
