Reflecting on the exhilarating space in the North Tower—and the outpouring of support, love and community that followed its loss.

Windows on the World and the jewel box-like Wild Blue restaurant were part of a spectacular restaurant complex on the 106th and 107th floors of the North Tower in New York’s World Trade Center. These semi-magical spaces high up in the sky had staff costume departments, seamstresses, cigarette girls and cocktail impresarios like bartender Dale DeGroff, who reigned at the lounge area’s The Greatest Bar on Earth. (And the name was no exaggeration.)

If you’re of a certain age, you remember where you were the morning of 9/11.

@sambamontclair is serving up my motherland favorites and the flavor is making us spill tears of joy 🥲🇧🇷🔥

The Skirt Steak Special and Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff are certified lifesavers 🥩🍲 You absolutely need the Bolinho de Feijoada and the sweet Coxinha de Churros to complete the marathon 🥟🔥 Set up shop in their beautiful outdoor area and remember this spot is fully BYOB 🍷☀️

@chefilsongoncalves traveled the globe to master these recipes and his family makes the dining room feel like a true home in Brazil 🏠❤️

Take their incredible brunch to go and score a dope high quality tote bag on the side 🛍️🍳

Obrigado @ilsonlg , @deborahostins , and @diazschloss thank you for the world class hospitality 🤝💯

Fresh, flavorful, and made from scratch—EONS is redefining fast-casual dining one bite at a time. 🌿✨

We tried the Shrimp Pita Wrap, packed with perfectly seasoned shrimp and crisp, fresh toppings wrapped in warm pita. The Salmon Salad Plate was light, vibrant, and loaded with wholesome ingredients, while the Chicken Stix delivered juicy, flavorful bites that are perfect for dipping.

If you’re looking for a meal that’s customizable, satisfying, and made with real ingredients, EONS is definitely worth the stop. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, dinner, or a healthy meal on the go, every dish is crafted fresh to order.

“From a small dream in Montclair to millions of homes across China, Samba Montclair was honored to be featured on Chinese national television during the World Cup.” “When I opened Samba, it was never about fame. It was about heart. Brazil gave me my roots, America gave me the opportunity, and now China has opened a window for millions to discover a piece of Brazil through our table. Food connects us, heals us, brings strangers together and reminds us that culture is meant to be shared. To my incredible team, to the production crew who believed in our story, to every guest who calls Samba home, thank you.” “This isn’t just our achievement. It’s a celebration of Brazilian culture, of the immigrant dream, and of sharing who we are with the world.” Obrigado Brazil, thank you America, thank you China, with endless gratitude,
Ilson Gonçalves
